So has anyone here stayed in the 1000 loop? We have listed that as our requested loop for Oct as it was listed as a full hookup loop (soon to be premium) and wanted to kow how busy it is what teh surroundings are like on that loop and how much road noise you get at night for starters. I am sure we will think of more questions but that is all for now. Oh and how close is it to a pet loop as we want to be as far away from pets read DOGS as possible.

If you booked a full hookup, then you most likely won't get Loop 1000. It is currently closed and the renovations have begun. It will be a Premium Loop by then. The only loops that are guaranteed to be full hookup are 1600 - 1900, and we "think" that 1600 and 1800 will be pet loops and 1700 and 1900 will be non pet loops.

Ok thanks I got the full hookup loops directly from Fort Wilderness not from CRO as CRO only knew of the updates coming. Many of the full loops are changing to premium. When I asked the staff at FW about the upgrades they told me not to read too much into what I am seeing on other non Disney owned sites as they are quite innacurate LOL. I just told my wife about the reply and she is PISSED as we booked the site 5 months ago prior to all teh updates and if she doesn't get her loop request or anything other than 1700 or 1900 she is demanding a golf cart for the week or we will be heading someplace else.

We just finished a two week stay in site 1208. I can't say enough GOOD things about the site. We have a 39 foot 5th wheel (toyhauler) and the site was large enough we could set up and still have enough room to lower the back ramp to unload the golf cart. The site is close to the first major intersection, but our trailer has good insulation and you can't hear the traffic. We were also quite a ways from our neighbors. The 1200 loop is also in a "dryer" section of the campground as many of the lower loops appear to be in more "swampy" areas.

It's funny. Through this site we find out stuff usually before they do anyway. Go figure. There are many people that post like the previous poster here that give very recent information, most of the time more recent than the front desk can give you. I am sorry they told you that.

1200 is one of the few loops we have never been assigned. If you got some photos, would you mind posting in the 'post a pic of your campsite' thread, stickied at the top of the forum????:thumbsup2

Ya it is funny how the Disney staff knows little about these things and others not working there get the inside scoop. So I guess we shall see what happens when we arrive anyhow any other advice on the 1000 loop would be great. We are going to be in the wifes tent trailer a Jayco 1007.

I was told that no loops will be premium just sites within loops 400 to 1400

As requested, I posted pictures of our stay in site 1208 in the 'post a pic of your campsite thread'. It's post #365 in the thread.

Hope the information is helpful! Best wishes to all!

We stayed there in may/june of 2006, right in the middle of the loop, on the side towards the road. The traffic was not bad at all, we have a HTT. (tent ends)

The walk to the comfort statation in loop 900 was short, enjoyable and easy, the walk over to the bike barn was not bad at all. Getting to the marina was another story, with 2 small kids.... It's about a 10-15 minute walk if I remember right, not really worth waiting for a bus, but a good walk.

Almost every day we came back to nap and then headed back to the parks. If you are w/o young kids, the 1000 loop is a great spot, centrally located..

BTW - Watch out for the flying squirrels. They rove in packs of 4-5....

Loop 1000 is opened again, and asides from trees that have been cut, I don't see any changes, no new longer pads, no new picnic table or grills.

We left wed. and the 1000 loop was still closed they were cutting the trees when we left. We did notice that it got more crowded when value season started . When we first got there there was alot of empty spots for that whole week and park attendance seemed down compared to 4 years ago alot shorter lines the Sunday hit and the Fort filled up and the Parks were more crowded. Maybe that is why they opened it before doing anything else. They also had the 2000 loop closed when we first got there and reopened that after pouring some new concrete pads.

We will have our 4 kids with us 11 7 5 (6 on the 21st) and our youngest who just turned 1 in May. The kids love walking but we are also bringing the 7 and 5 year olds bike.

You will get your full hook up just don't always count on being in the loop you requested, I can only think of maybe one time maybe 2 that I actually got into the loop I requested but was always happy with our site. This trip was the exception it was to small but it was no problems changing to another site it was not the length it was the 4 slides awnings that were to tight with the trees. We were happy they were very good to us.
Just be prepared you may not get your loop request they will accomodate you. If you don't own a golf cart you need to reserve one now.
Have a great time.
