Ok

This is my todo list - feel free to add anything I've forgotten

105 days out from DCL cruise do online checkin

90 days from return choose flight seats

60 days out choose fast pass +

Once fast passes sorted delete a few of the Adr's I made ( some days booked 2 different options )

14 days out checkin to flights, print e ticket & boarding pass

14 days out complete esta

10 days out DVC resort checkin

I also still need to sort travel ins - but need company that will cover pre existing condition

Any thing else???

Have you done APIs - I believe you can do this before check in date, but that might depend on airline.

I know you'll already know this, but it is best to get your travel insurance sorted out asap really. Once you've booked everything you should have insurance in place - appreciate you mention that you have a pre existing condition to consider which may be holding things up :thumbsup2. We booked our flights at 16 months out and the day we booked, I set up and bought insurance - don't want to take any risks.

I am sure your time will fly by.

Are you hiring a car - there appears nothing about that, but I guess it could all be done already?

Ooh another point, if you are applying for a first time (or new i.e. not just amending a current) ESTA I would strongly recommend doing it now. I am sure it won't happen, but if you found you were refused for some reason, the stated time to sort a visa is around 6 months! :sad2: We go in August and we sat and did all our ESTAS (all 6!) last week - thankfully all came back OK straight away. One thing ticked off my list! ;)

Online checking for Disney is now 60 days out

I though online check in for flights was only 24 hours before but I don't know what airline you have booked with. Also VA have changed the seating policy so you can pay to reserve at anytime - again not sure what airline.

If you need a new ESTA you can do that anytime - if you are updating an old one there really is no need :goodvibes

I would do travel insurance as an urgency. We make sure we have this when booking in case we need to cancel at any stage.

We are under 100 days and on my list are to renew ESTA, get a bit of cash in dollars, inform the CC company, order some bus tickets and pack. :thumbsup2

Thank you for your replies.

I've now completed the ESTA's yay :thumbsup2

Ive also got the travel insurance sorted - which was very stressful but done :thumbsup2

We are flying with Thomson - I have inputed the API but then it did not register - THINK THEY HAVE A GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM will try again when I choose seats 90 days from return.

I was told by manageress of thomson shop that i could check in 2 weeks before and print boarding cards - so we will see.

Need to sort money

I have booked our town car to transport us to and from airport ( we don't drive) flying into Sanford so no magical express:confused3

Can't believe its now 91 days;)

Glad you've got the important things done :thumbsup2.

Have you made plans for your FPs yet? That will be the next thing - if onsite, a bit longer to wait if not.

Who have you booked for transport? We fly into Sanford too and I haven't sorted this yet - keep putting it off tbh. We are off to Universal first so it's a fairly hefty price for the cab, but I can't see the point of paying for a hire car to sit in a car park for 3 days and pay parking on top. We are only hiring a car for 4 days mid trip to do shopping/DC. My parents are doing KSC but are getting transport included ::yes::.

I presume you are flying on the Dreamliner - I have heard so many mixed reviews about it. Mostly good, but some not so :confused3. I *think* when we went to the Red Sea with Thomson a while back, we checked in 2 weeks before as well.

Are you going for 2 weeks? I ask because I can forsee an issue with booking our flight seats as we are going for 3! Which means most of the plane will have probably already booked by the time we get to! The 90 day return thing is ridiculous - why they can't do it from 90 day outbound I'll never know!

Re travel money - it's dire atm. Have a look at moneysavingexpert for the best deals around. Failing that, I always seem to find that our little local independent travel agents has one of the best, if not the best rate around. I guess they try and add a bit to get the business. I checked yesterday and my local was offering 1.489 which is among the best about atm.

Hi,

Yes we are staying on so will be doing fast passes, I have a list of what we want and when (to coincide with ADrs) but am not looking forward to booking them - as its new lol I dont like new things ;)

We've used Southern Elegance limo with miquel. Not sure if i can mention the company on the dis. We've used them before and have always had great service. if you I can send you the link via PM

yes we are on the dreamliner but we've booked the premium cabin - yes we are going for 2 weeks - I agree with you it should be 90 days from outbound.
:rolleyes1

Trying to book FP around DDP and everything else is just exhausting :lmao:!

Tbh I am just looking for standard transport as there are 6 of us plus luggage, so I'm guessing we'll need a van type thing. But thanks anyway!

We are flying PE too - have you heard that they are changing the seats and adding new benefits to PE? Won't be effective until 'summer' though - some people saying May but who knows. You'll have to report back when you return to let me know how you found it :thumbsup2.

Ok I'm so tired, its 90 days from my return flight tonight .(Booking opens at midnight)
I've just been on to Thomson Flight extras and secured my seats in the plane. Outbound we are in Row 2 G &J (Row 1 was already checked when the booking opened) But on the return I got Row 1 G & J ( yay)
I can see problems for those going for 3 weeks, with this system.
Right I'm off to bed now.

Thanks for letting us know how you got on! Glad you got reasonable seats. As we are going for 3 weeks I can see issues, especially as there are 6 of us (so 3 rows to book!). I am not bothered about row 1, but I don't want the row without a window! I am really hoping they will let us book 90 days outbound - going to speak to TA to see. But I fear it will be a no - it's a stupid system and Thomson know it. Really not sure why they won't change it!
