***Hello All!! Well, we are back from our trip and we had a really good time.***

It was my DH & I (w/ out the kiddies!!) and we were there 5/21-5/28 & on the Dining Plan. Just want to say thanks to everyone on the DIS boards. I had everything planned and it was an awesome trip!

It actually started on Friday 5/20 (our actual anniv.)............
I thought...it won't take that long to pack. YAH, RIGHT! We took our daughters, ages 5 & 15 months, to my parent's house to drop them off and we had dinner w/ them. We got home around 7 and started to pack. I didn't think it would take us that long because I had some things done already. By midnight, we were just about done. Now, our plane was taking off from PHX(AZ) @ 6:15am and the SuperShuttle was picking us up at 3:45am. So, my DH is like....we might as well just stay up...no sense going to bed now. So, we stayed up all night! I was so excited at this point.

Anyway, we got on the shuttle and made it to the airport. We left PHX and had a layover in CLT til finally heading to MCO!!!! :cool1: We get to MCO and find the man w/ the big mickey hand waving in the air.....how cute! He directs us where to go to get the Magical Express! Yeah!!! Finally! We check in w/ ME and wait in line for the bus. By this time, my DH & I are starving. All we had eaten all day was a granola bar. My plan was to check in then hit Beaches & Cream. OK....back to the story. We get on the ME and drop off some people at Pop Century, then it's on to CBR!!! Yeah. We check in and Joe from Bell Services (who is actually working overtime at the resort and is normally a fireworks man for Wishes) takes us to our room. We were in Trinidad South...room 3608. It was a bottom floor, corner room and we had a courtyard. We were right around the corner from the pool and bus stop. I didn't want to be in Trin. South (per all the boards saying it was the farthest and yada, yada, yada) but I actually liked it a lot. Now, we don't have our bags yet, just our carry-on's, so not much to unpack. Joe said our bags would be sent to our room soon. So we jump on the DTD bus in search of food!!! We get to DTD, the jump on the Yacht & Beach Club bus. It starts to rain now....but who cares....we're at Disney!!!

We get to Beaches & Cream and the lady says it about an hour wait. We are so hungry by this time we don't care. We told her we would sit at the counter if that was a shorter wait and she said it would be. We ended up only waiting for about 20 mins. I ordered the Roast Beef Sub and DH got the Double Cheeseburger. Then dessert----I got the No Way Jose and he got the Banana Split! Let me tell you......OMG!!! So YUMMY!!!!!!

It stopped raining by the time we were done w/ dinner so we walked around the resort for a bit, then went back to CBR. When we returned, our luggage was there and we unpacked everything. I don't like to live out of suitcases and it just feels better when you are unpacked. We were both tired but also so excited to be there. Sunday was the big day for MGM and Star Wars Weekend!!!! Woo-Hoo. I think we went to bed around midnight.

Sweet Dreams!! :wizard:

More to come!

Wonderful review and glad you and your hubby got a chance to get away for your anniversary - can only imagine how tired you were!! Haven't heard of CBR reviews much so am interested on how you like it - keep us posted please!!

Sounds like a great start! :Pinkbounc Looking forward to reading the rest.

Only a little over a month to our 10th anniversary trip.

The last trip to WDW we stayed at CBR. The food court was awesome, even wwhen crowded by teenaged cheerleaders! We learned quickly not to eat outside becauase of the competition with birds for who gets to eat your lunch, you or them! The rooms were nice and we were near the bus stop, but a huge long walk to the food court.

I hope the rest of your trip is as fun as the beginning sounds! Looking forward to reading more.

Sounds like you had a great start to your trip. I look forward to reading more. :cheer2:

Happy Belated 10th Anniversary.

I have a question for you. Coming from AZ, do you stay on your "regular" schedule being 2 hours behind Orlando time? or do you adjust to Orlando time? I am asking because I will be taking DS9 and DS3 in December and don't know what to do about DS3's schedule. I tried asking before, but many of the people on here are from the east, and therefore it isn't a problem for them.

Thanks!!!

Kari

I also have a question. My girlfriend from Phoenix wants to go in September but the air fare I've seen is almost $400.00!! Which airline did you fly and if I may ask, how much did you pay for your flight?

We quickly adjusted to Orlando time, which is actually 3 hrs. difference right now.

We flew America West--$99 each way. So it was a little over $400 for the 2 of us. That's pretty cheap!

Thanks for a great start to your reports. We also wen't to WDW on our 10th Anniversary and had a great time. Glad you made it to Beaches & Creme, there food is so good......
