My DD will be turning 10 2 months before we go to Disney. We will not be doing the dining plan because of the changes. My questions is can she eat off of the childs menu at a TS? Do we pay more for her "childs meal" since Disney considers her an adult? How do they know how old she is if we are paying cash? Please don't flame me...I'm not trying to rip Disney off...just not sure how this works. Last time we went in 06 we were on the meal plan and both my kids were considered kids! LOL

She can order from the child's menu, my son who is 11 does it all the time. However, you will be charged the adult price for buffets, family-style dining and character meals regardless of what they eat.

My late wife would occasionally order the child's filet at Concourse Steak House as she felt the regular portions were too big for her. There was never any problem.
