It's always tragic when there's an accident like this. There's too little information to figure out exactly what happened at this point. I always keep in mind the fact that WDW--all by itself--is basically a medium sized U.S. city with a lot of special characteristics, including a much more robust public transportation system than most cities of the same size and a significantly higher percentage of non-resident drivers, pedestrians, bike riders, etc. who don't know the territory very well. Accidents are going to happen at WDW just like they do everywhere. I'm actually amazed at how infrequently serious accidents occur at WDW given all of that.
