10 year old and Rock-n-Roller Coaster?

My kids rode RnRC for the first time way before 10. My younger son was about 5. It's his fave ride. I would not even give it a second thought at 10.

Same here. My kids were 5 when they were tall enough. It is a fave of my 11yr old DD.

I'd leave it up to her to decide. My 5 y/o is a roller coaster junkie. Dh and I are not. We're not sure who's going to have to suffer with her on RnRC. :confused3

bond24seven, I am cracking up at your photo! The photos we have of our girls with similar faces are my favorites too.

OP, you know your child best, but I would definitely let my child ride if she wants to. Both of my daughters rode it when they were seven. They would have ridden it when they were five, but they weren't tall enough so they had to wait for our next trip. It's my oldest daughter's (who is now 12) favorite ride. I would just make sure your daughter knows about the launch, the loops, etc. If your daughter changes her mind right before getting on, you can leave the queue. If she ends up riding and hates it, it's over so quickly.

How do you feel about your 10 year old riding RNRC? Our's will be almost 11yrs. old when we go. Hubby saids if she wants to ride, let her. I love the ride but I'm a little scared for her to ride. I think it might be to much for her. I guess I'm just over protective.:scared:

Our 10 year old rode RnRC last May and LOVED it!!

He also did Hulk, Dueling Dragons and Rip Ride Rocket at Universal as well.

I say let your 10 year old go for it!!

My 10 year old won't go near Space Mountain, but she will go on RnRC. She has been on both before but prefers the smooth ride of RnRC.

Last time we were there, our friends DS8 rode it and had a really good time. My daughter has been cautious about rides since her first ride on Pooh at DLR resort when she was 4. 4 days at Disneyland and only one ride over those days, but we still had fun watching her take all the theming in (DW friend came two days, so we split up a bit). Each visit she has additional rides and now TOT and RRC are the only she hasn't done. She hasn't ridden anything since that she regretted, but I'm afraid to push too hard. I think it just depends on how your DD reacts to rides. My rule was to let DD ride whatever she was brave enough for. DD is 14 now and we are going in May, I have reserved FPP for the two rides that she hasn't done, but we'll see when we get there. In the interest of disclosure, this scaredy cat hadn't done most of the thrill rides at WDR until I had to act brave in front of my daughter. I didn't ride TOT until 48 when DD14's friend wanted to ride. I still have mixed feelings about coasters. RRC, Sum of All Thrills and Californian Screamin are the two US Disney rides I have not done. Oh, and Mission Space.
