I understand my 10 year old will be the adult price if we go with the dining plan. But she is picky and may want to order off the kids menu. Will that be allowed?

On the flip side, if we go with OOP at places where she orders off a menu can she order a kids entree instead of something on the adult menu?

Thanks in advance!

Yes she could order off the kids' menu, but might be a better option to pay for those meals OOP and save the dining credits to do an extra TS.

And yes, if you're paying OOP she can order off the kids' menu. So could you, if you want! :)

We have the opposite problem on our next trip we will have 10,7,7,yr olds, as the 10 yr old is now a Disney adult and gets to eat all the yummy steaks etc i knew since my other 2 boys eat very well also( well apart from the 1 twin not eating ANY veg :rotfl2:or fruit except a bannana!!) then they would get jealous so we changed the 7yr old twins ages to 10 so they could eat off the adult menu, well we are now thinking that the twins although they love to eat good food they proberly wont eat huge amounts so we will split a entree between them and that means we can do alot more TS and a few more signatures then normal in fact at the Signatures my boys all enjoy the kids meals as they like the desserts at those places plus they always have at least one decent kids meal that is not chicken nuggets or mac and cheese! so we will actually pay OOP for the kids meals and then we can use their adult credits:woohoo:
So i think having a picky child can work to your advantage as you could pay OOP and use their credits for more meals:)

My DD12 turned 10 on our trip in 2009. There were a few times when she wanted a kid's meal at TS. The first time (at Kona) we paid OOP and saved the credit. Then we found out at 50's PTC that they offered Junior meals that are basically larger servings of the kid's meals. She got the Jr. Chicken Nuggets (which weren't very good, BTW)

Then when we ate at Kona again she got the Jr. Mickey Raviolis. Here's the difference in the serving sizes.

And the added benefit-she got to pick an adult dessert, she wasn't limited to a kid's one. :goodvibes
