DH just told me to book at trip to WDW for our 10 year Wedding anniversay. Our anniversary is Sept. 4th. I know labor day weekend. What resort would you pick for 2 adults, kids are staying with grandma and grandpa. :cool1: DH does is not a fan of WDW so I would like a resort that is not over the top like POP or All Stars. He is an outdoorsy person so I was thinking Wilderness lodge. Do you think this would be a nice resort for 2 adults?

I think Poly would be a good choice for the both of you!

I'd stick with the Wilderness Lodge. It's a great resort that's a little more secluded, yet still has easy boat access to the monorail loop.

If he likes the outdoors and you want to do something special, you may want to look into booking the Ft. Wilderness Segway tour. It's a great offroad Segway tour that goes around Bay Lake, Ft Wilderness, and the WL.

Well I too think the Poly is a very romantic resort, along with the Beach Club. I think you wouldn't go wrong with either of these. Wilderness lodge is also good for an outdoorsy person like you said. There are great restaurants in each of the resorts, as well as lots of fun things to do. Remember too, the Poly has the monorail, Beach Club is in walking distance of Epcot and Wilderness Lodge is tucked nicely in the woods. Just see which one you think would be more your/his style.

Thanks for all of the reply's. After further discussion DH and I have decided that going to WDW during Labor Day weekend is not what we had in mind for our 10 year anniversary. As much as I love WDW, I love my DH more and so we decided to go to Ashville, NC. We are going to go see the Biltmore Estate and take a train ride through the Smokey Mountains in an adult only club car. We both agreed that we would miss not having the kids around when we saw all of the happy families. Plus I dragged DH to Mexico for our Honeymoon in Sept when it was hot as can be, it wouldn't be fair for me to drag him to WDW during Sept. He does not like heat or crowds. He only wanted to go to WDW because he wanted to go the Bass ProShop down there. I told him it wasnt' worth going to WDW during a holiday just so he can go to a fishing store. :rotfl:

Sounds lovely, you have to do what you feel is both right. We are from England UK and no children by choice, we will be staying off site for the 3 weeks in September, I was going to wait to treat myself to GF for my 40th, but thought hey why not. So hense booked 3 days to celebrate and our treat, the Escape blessing was too much money as just for us to being present as no other family members from Uk will be there. So kinda met in the middle. Congratulations to the both of you:thumbsup2

Might I reccomend that you stay at the Inn at Biltmore Estate. I've stayed there twice in the past two years and its probably my second favorite place next to WDW. If you have any questions about Biltmore, please ask. I had a season pass there last year. Also, do take a guided tour or two...the rooftop tour is wonderful. They're only about $15, which is a great deal for a guided tour, and you get to see parts of the house that aren't on the main tour, and the views are outstanding.

I hope you have a great time!!!
