DH and I are looking to celebrate our 10 year anniversary (without the kids) next May. We would like a nice place to eat that night and there are just so many choices. Which would you choose?

I voted for the Bistro which is a great resturant. It has good food, great waitstaff,
and good atmoshpere.

If I were going for a special dinner I'd consider Jiko at the AKL. Its got a fabulous menu. We've had excellant waiters. I love the atmosphere in the restuarant and in the lodge itself. It feels very romantic there. And the wine list is awesome!!

If you choose Cal. Grill, book adr for about 1 hr before fireworks. You will need to check fireworks schedule (they don't do everynight) but it's great to be there when they dim lights & pipe in music. You can also grab your drink and go outside to watch. Servers do a good job of timing for your food.

We have dined at Bistro only one time. It was very good. But for the price difference, we really could not tell that much difference from the food at France. And there was less selection. But I am guessing you are going for the romantic theming that what is served. And the service is very attentive.
We ate an anniversary dinner at Flying Fish. That was very good, as always.
Last year's anniversary dinner for us was at Fulton's, with Cirque de Solei afterwards. That was a very special evening too.
Artist Point is very nice. We have only eaten there once too. Enjoyed it. But like Bistro, once was fine. Some day I am sure we will return. But not in a big hurry either.
Have fun deciding. Tough choice. :sunny:

i am only 13 so i dont quite understand the inportance of the 10th anniversery. I do have to say though that Le Cellier is a great place to eat, my family has had no complaints! We also have a friend which is an annual pass holder and has eaten at every resturuant in WDW!!! She says her favorite is Le Cellier and that it beats every other by a long shot

Why is Jiko not on the list? That's my choice, with wine pairings.

Jiko is not on the list because we plan on eating at Boma on this trip and because DH's allergies seems to be more of an issue at the AKL restaurants just because of the types of food prepared (he is allergic to soy, beans, peas and nuts). At Boma there are enough choices but for the price of Jiko he would hate to be limited.

Also, I am not a big drinker and DH does not drink at all so wine selections don't really matter to us at all. :)

DH and I have dined at the Yachtsman Steakhouse for our 9th and 10th anniversaries. I've also been back a 3rd time with my Mom. Everything has always been absolutely amazing. :thumbsup2
Both anniversaries they gave us a little plate with cookies and chocolates that said Happy Anniverary on it, and last year (our 10th) they also brought me out a long stem red rose. It was such a nice touch. :goodvibes

Oh believe me I went back and forth on this myself. My DH and I's 10th anniversary is in July and I finally decided on Artist Point for the food selection and the atmosphere. I have a carriage ride set for beforehand at FW and then late dinner reservations there. I figured later would be quieter and more romantic. Happy Anniversary and I am sure whatever you pick it will be wonderful, your at WDW!!! :thumbsup2

We ate at CG for our 20th anniversary dinner and it was the most romantic dinner we've ever had. Our ADR was for about 1/2 hour before Wishes. We had a drink and ordered our appeitzers and then went out on the observation deck to see the fireworks. When we came back to our table the appeitzers were waiting for us. We had the most relaxed, wonderful meal we've ever had. I would suggest it in a minute.

We did Bistro de Paris for our 5th anniversary and it was Fabulous. It wasn't one of your choices, but we're palnning on doing our 10th anniversary dinner w/o kids at Citrico's. We had our wedding dinner at Flagler's 10 years ago and at least it's the same location!

I chose narcoosees but it was a tie really between here and Artist Point. Firstly, I wouldn't go anywhere near a theme park for dinner if I was having a child free night, no matter how good the food, because I would want to savour my dinner and the company, not be rushed or feel the temptayion of a ride nearby. I didn't go for california Grill because its quite a loud place and I would want something quiet and romantic.

narcoossees has a great view over the lagoon and just the right atmosphere IMHO. have fun choosing,
Claire xx

LOL! And thats only half. They actually brought it out on 2 plates. ;)

I was really happy to see your post. My husband and I will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary  on the upcoming trip and I was having the same debate. I know that I want to choose one of the restaurants at one of the deluxe hotels so that we can use their child care facilities. So that means:

Artiste Pointe - WL
Narcossee - GF
Yachtsman Steakhouse - YC

We also have Boma reservations so no Jinko. We are already planning on eathing with the kids at O'hanas. Contemporary does not have child care facilities (last I heard) due to their ongoing renovation.

Personally I'm leaning toward WL and Artiste Pointe. Decisions, decisions, decisions:headache:
