10 Worst Movies of 2005

I watched Undiscovered last night and didn't think it was that bad- glad I did not spend $10 to watch it in the movies, but don't feel I wasted a netflix rental on it

I took War of the Worlds for what it was, aliens coming to Earth blowing stuff up

When I first read about Serenity I rented all the Firefly DVD's and really liked the show. It's just one of those shows that never caught on (As I never even remember it being on Fox)

Uh oh...I'm going to see King Kong in a few hours!
I can't remember which magazine it was but someone told me they listed the times you could take a bathroom break and not miss a thing.

I believe it was Entertainment Weekly that has the bathroom break info

loved Crash, altho I could have done without the Sandra Bullock/Brendan Frasier storyline

I have to agree with everything in the top ten except one - I LOVED Crash!

Crash was a great movie -one I will watch many times.

I have no problem with including the others. Maybe putting Herbie: Fully Loaded on there was a bit harsh, but I do tend to look past Disney's blemishes.

Worst movie I saw this year was "Sin City" (may have been released last year?). Pair that up with "Shark Boy and Lava Girl" and you have a true Robert Rodriguez poop-fest.

Another stinker... "Palindromes". I just didn't fully get it.

Don't flame me too bad but I didn't really like Mr. and Mrs. Smith. :confused3 Absolutely NOTHING happened in the first 30-40 minutes of the movie. I think I was expecting way too much. Sorry.

I can't believe Dukes of Hazzard didn't make the top 10!!!

I liked Herbie and I also liked the Pacifier. WOTW was ok, not the bottom 10, IMHO. It certainly was a very high money maker for Tom Cruise...it was his biggest money maker yet actually.

My quick opinions on movies mentioned in this thread:

Crash- didn't hold my attention and I slept most of the way through.

Serenity- loved it!! Great sci-fi flick. I'm a huge whedon fan, but I didn't even like firefly all tha tmuch, but the movie is great.

King Kong- long and boring and not very interesting.

Herbie: Fully Loaded- stupid.

Sin City- Awesome style, very interesting flick.

Sharkboy and Lavagirl- I WANTED to like it.

The Jacket- I haven't seen it yet but I really want to.

War of the Worlds- resolved WAAAAAAAY too easily, and Tim Robbins' character was unnecessary.

Alexander was from 2004.

One horrble movie not mentioned: Fantastic Four! And I love comic book movies.

I will go out on a limb and disagree with the thumbs down for the Jacket from other posters. I liked it.

i agree with all of them but i thought waiting was funny, stupid, yet funny.
oh and i agree with next years pick of ice harvest i thought it was soooo stupid. quite possibly the worst movie i have ever seen.

King Kong was okay, Peter Jackson didn't stray from the original, at least I didn't think so, but it was just way too long. It didn't have to be that long and don't understand why it was. :confused3
