It was always Walt’s dream to open a park in Florida, & they didn’t live to see this dream come to fruition. But when Walt Disney World first opened on October 1st, 1971, it was of the hottest openings since the opening of the original Disneyland in 1955. Today, Disney World is of the most visited resorts in the world, & has expanded to parks, with more designs to expand in the next decade. The resort currently houses 27 resort hotels, water parks, golf courses, & that’s the tip of the iceberg. You can basically spend a few weeks at Disney World & still not have touched everything there is to experience.
