We won't be joining you on this cruise we decided we needed to get away now so we moved this cruise to the Feb 28th cruise.

The sun is finally coming out occasionally Our DS took 10th place out of 40 at his 1st Gym Meet The new Chihuahua pup (Scrappy) has FINALLY been house trained, (wait, let me check behind that chair again) We are going to start the passport process on Monday and here I sit looking at a beautiful bouquet of roses from the DH on V-Day!! Life is good!!
Has anyone started packing yet? Ok, Ok, so i've started a lil bag in the laundry room! Call me a sicko, but i know im not alone!! I've found a few good deals so far like snorkel gear, underwater cameras, an over the door shoe rack and some other poop that i'll probably leave behind! Im considering shipping a few tings ahead of time on this trip. Anyone done that?
Oh, has anyone picked up a copy of the Disney Passporter Cruise Guide? I guess the 09 version dosnt come out for another 2 months. Im not sure I can wait that long!! I may go with the 08...anyone have it?????

I was wondering the same thing...it has been quiet...

I am like you...I have started pulling a few things together...sad that it is still SO far off, but we are going on a Carnival cruise on the 1st of March, so at least I have that as a buffer till we get back to Disney.

I am trying to start to think of things to use for the fish extenders...guess I should think about getting a fish extender...

How do you like your new Chihuahua?? We are looking to get one for Easter. We have a maltipoo now and want another small puppy and our DDs are infatuated with Chihuahua's right now, so we are going to give one a try...any tips you have would be great!!

I was disappointed that the new Passporter doesn't come out for another 6 weeks or so. I have the 2008 one if you want my copy...just let me know and I can mail it to you. The only thing that really will be different is there won't be information on St. Croix (which is why I pre-ordered the 2009 one).

I also have the Birnbaums for the Disney Cruise Line for 2008 and 2009. If anyone would like a one of those, let me know and I can throw them in the mail.

My company has issued a wage freeze and no quarterly bonus's (which pays for all family vacays) for all of '09..so with a heavy heart we are saying goodbye. ...

I hope that someday to sail with each and everyone of you

There is a small silver lining..we will be doing the 4 day on OCT 18th. I had enough paid on the 7 day cruise to pay in full the 4 day. So it may not be what I planned...but any Disney Cruise is better then NO Disney Cruise.

She'll be getting on the boat the day after we get off the boat. So, she does have to wait a little longer...but at least she'll still get to go. And this way, she gets to experience the Wonder. (We're thinking positive!)
DH and I discussed yesterday changes we can make this cruise to make it cheaper on us than the one we took in 2007. I don't think we'll do any excursions (which saves me from having to do all that research, he he). We'll fly home the day the ship returns to port, instead of staying that night in Orlando. It will make for a long day but cheaper! I just want to get on that boat!!!

Hi all - sorry I haven't been on in a while - life has just been crazy with school, work, etc. I updated our roster with our recent losses - very sad hopefully they can all enjoy a cruise soon. Hope everyone is hanging in there through all these trying times - you can definitely tell this is a different year than normal by how quiet this board is! Money saving ploys? I started a "Vacation" spare change jar last year that even the 5 yr DD is scrounging change for! We never have cash, we always use our debit cards, so the spare change jar won't work for us. Unless, I "round up" in the checkbook and then move all that "spare change" to savings?? Hmm.... Now I'm thinking...

We're going to do everything in our power to make this cruise. I tried to do our taxes yesterday, instead of paying the CPA, and used Turbotax. For about 3 hours yesterday, I was convinced we owed the gov't! Turns out, Turbotax wasn't recognizing we have 2 qualifying dependents. So...with that, I'm paying the CPA to do our taxes. Let's cross our fingers!!

I'm going to have to bow out of the gift exchanging. :-( I'm so bummed. I'm sorry everyone. I just can't justify it this year.

We booked our precruise stay yesterday at the Beach Club villas. We decided that we aren't going to get back to Disney for a while after that trip so we decided to blow some points on a one bedroom. We thought about checking for availability at BLT or WLV but figured with Food & Wine, we'd be happier closer to EPCOT. Got a great deal on airfare - $365 for two - direct flights!!

I am excited! I booked 2 nights at Bay Lake Towers precruise - woo! I decided a lake view room would be fine, since I plan on being AT the Magic Kingdom, not in my room looking at the Magic Kingdom. Now if airfare would just cooperate. I've been and will continue to be checking every day until I find a decent rate and schedule.
