My son....three weeks b4 Christmas his xbox died. He waited till the week before christmas to mail it to microsoft. Of course no one could predict the hault of mail do to the nasty storms up here a few weeks back. The poor kid got 4 new XBOX games, xbox points and a subscription to xbox live on christmas morning. Let me tell ya...the boy was moping around for days.
anyway, he'll come out of his 360 coma soon and I know he's looking forward to chatting with your boys
needless to say the eye rolling began. So I'm sure once they are back into the old grind they will get it up and running...

I am so ready for Christmas to come so I can stop stressing, shopping, planning, preparing...And it's about this time that I really wish there were a Santa so he could worry about what to stuff in the 14 year old's stocking!!! It's not fair to have a 5 year old girl and a 14 year old boy and try to make things even and fair for them on Christmas.
We definatley have something in common!! Our son just turned 14 and our daughter turned 5 in september. We had a hard time with gift giving and trying to be fair...the older boys get the tougher it is to shop for them!Itunes cards and cash, ect...he was happy! Although they BOTH had a great reaction to the last gift....this cruise...the only thing they both questioned was "Do we really have to wait 10 months???"...ouch.
Anyhoo, we'll have to get the boys together. My DS cant wait to hangout with some new friends...without us....hmmph, little does he know, the feeling is mutual!
Our kids are the same age! My son will be 15 in March and Daelyn will turn 6 on the cruise. (And she tells every single stranger she sees, "I'm going to be 6 on the cruise!") I just sent the Teens meet thread to my son and I hope he will jump on there. He had so much fun on the cruise - we rarely ever saw him.

I bought a travel book on the US Virgin Islands. Let the planning (finally) begin! My kids' passports won't be valid for six months past the date of return, so I am going to have to renew them sooner than I'd planned to. That will be a little hit on the budget *ouch*. Castaway Cay is worth it, right?
! Im SOOOO ready for this trip! Im sure the kids will all have a great time together.....AS WILL WE!! Just sent the DH off to Las Vegas to work a few trade shows. It will be my turn at the end of the month...have to go to LA for the Craft & Hobby Expo. Maybe i'll find some more Mickey goodies!!
Anyway, I'll be killing 2 birds by working that show, ( a little for the Scrap Store & hopefully alot of sales!). The DH and I have been in the Chiropractic sales business for 10 years now. We work several tradeshows a year, all over the place. Im hoping to be working a show in Orlando the week before the Cruise. At least then our company could foot my airfare bill!
! Went to gather our paperwork to get the passport balls rolling for all of us and found the we have NO certified birth record for Chad! Well, im hoping Orange County will be quick about getting us a copy!! Last time we sailed we didnt need a certified copy. In fact, we went to Cancun in 2004 and had an uncertified copy of his BC but they stopped us and made us get something notorized before we could board the plane...I was freakin out! Made the flight just in time and swore to order a certified BC when we got home. Well, after all that tequila we obviously forgot....till NOW!!!
The airfares from here are ridiculous - $400+ for a nonstop flight, only a little less for a one-stop itinerary. Neither Frontier nor Southwest has opened up booking in that time frame, so there's no low-cost competition. I'll just have to wait. I hate having to wait.Has anyone bought their airfare yet? Im still hoping for cheaper rates
