10-night stay: Best way to book this?

I know that you could reserve a trip at your home resort (BWV for us) 11 months before the day of check-in, for up to 7 nights. However, we will be staying 10 nights. We have 3 choices for booking:

1. Wait until it is 3 days less than 11 months before check-in and book the entire 10 nights
2. Book the first 7 nights, exactly 11 months before check-in, then call MS each morning for 3 mornings afterwards to add the other days, one at a time
3. Book the first 7 nights, exactly 11 months before check-in, then wait 3 days and call MS to add the other 3 nights

This may not seem like a big deal, but we are looking to get a 1BR standard view at BWV to maximize the points. And our trip will be in July 2010 which is busy summer season. Yes, I know it is still a while before I can book, but I am making sure I know exactly how I will go about it. So far something is telling me to go with option #2 from above. I'm a teacher so I am off in August when I would be calling to book this, and will have the time to call each morning for a few mornings, so that is not an issue for me. What would you do, or what do you do in this type of situation of a stay longer than 7 nights?

I'd go with option 1. Much less work for both you and MS. At 11 months you shouldn't have any problem even in July.

I would go with option 1 for a July reservation, if you are concerned, go with option 3. I would not call daily to add on nights.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I have a similar situation but 7 months out at SSR. I can call on Thurs. for our June 21 arrival but we are also staying 10 nights and using developer points! Any guidance would be appreciated!:goodvibes

Okay, I thought about what you guys posted. It is a lot of work for MS if I call daily to add on nights. In fact after thinking it through much more I think this could add confusion and possibly mess up my reservation. Perhaps I will wait the 3 days and then call. Standard 1BR at BWV should still be available 3 fewer days out than the 11-month mark right? So if I wait until August 21st to book a July 18, 2010 trip for 10 nights I should be okay right?

I used to do the day by day the old way, it was a quick on and off, I wouldn't say it's alot of work for MS.

I would go for option 3, that way you have the first 7 nights locked up first.
