Hey guys, my wife and I will be going BACK to WDW in April 2010 for 10 days :woohoo::woohoo:, can you guys recomend anything outside of the park besides Univ and SW? I could spend the entire 10 days in the parks (did I mention I LOVE DISNEY ) but it would be nice to see a little bit more of Orlando

We went to Gatorland during our vacation last week -- it was so much fun! Very kitschy place, and I love that it was around long before Disney arrived.

Also, I got to hold a big fuzzy tarantula in my hand!!! Don't see that everyday (maybe that's a good thing :rotfl:)

We are here now and arrived on Saturday, August 15. We're here until this Saturday. If you check the Trip Report board for Disneysteve's reports, you can read about our first week and some things we've done.

Some highlights have been doing the Boggy Creek airboat ride, visiting the Mouse Surplus warehouse, renting speed boats at Polynesian (onsite but not a park), visiting Gaylord Palms hotel (really worth a trip if you've never seen it - best at night).

There are lots of fun things to do in and around the area. The local guide books are full of ideas.

We were there for 16 days in August 2007. In addition to WDW, US/IOA and SeaWorld, we did Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Center, the beach (one day on the gulf side and one day on the Atlantic side), and Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum (it was ok, but I thought it was pricey for what you got).

We are going this November for almost a month and have no shortage of stuff planned :rotfl2: Some of the stuff we are doing:

Few days in Clearwater (beach, pier 50, relax)
Busch Gardens
Universal both parks
SeaWorld
Discovery Cove
possibly a water park (depends on weather)
NFL game in Tampa
Daytona 500 and Daytona Beach
Cocoa Beach
Kennedy Space Centre
Airboat ride
shopping days at outlet malls

The go orlando card has tons of ideas on things to do that are not all day full speed ahead like disney...we are also going to do a few things like that also ....
