Day 8 Lunch - Boulangerie Patisserie
Today was our World Showcase day at Epcot, and we stopped at the bakery in France for lunch. You can only use snack credits for a drink here, but you can use a counter service credit and get 2 items plus a drink. We used 3 CS credits and had:
3 drinks
Ham & Cheese Sandwich this is the long sandwich in the picture; very good
Ham & Cheese Croissant we had this toasted; delicious
Apricot Tart (not pictured)
Chocolate Éclair
Crème horn my favorite delicious!
Napoleon
All of the pastries were wonderful this is a great place to stop by for a snack or lunch. We will most definitely return here on our next trip to the World Showcase!
Cost 3 CS credits = $33.20
Day 8 Dinner - San Angel Inn
Side note, this was the first weekend of the Food and Wine Festival and all the booths were packed the only thing I waited in line for was a Jacobs Riesling from Australia

. DB and DSIL snacked around the world before they flew out this afternoon, and they enjoyed many of the booths using their leftover snack credits.
I had been looking forward to dining at San Angel from trips past we would always pass by the restaurant while riding the boat ride and Mexican foods are my favorites!
Our ADR was at 4:05 and we arrived around 3:55 we were very hot and hungry! We were seated immediately and given a lunch menu (dinner started at 4:00 and I had planned on that menu, oh well). The atmosphere in here is great you walk inside the pyramid and then through the market to the restaurant. There is music playing and you can be seated overlooking the boat ride (we werent, but thats OK). We had 2 small complaints, which I hear a lot here on the DIS the tables were EXTREMELY close together and it is EXTREMELY dark in here! DD2 was not a happy camper during this meal (whining a lot, didnt want to sit in her high chair, etc.) and I was getting dirty looks from one of the tables. However, the party at another table beside us were extremely friendly and we actually had conversations with them throughout the meal (we were that close!). I believe there were 2 men and 3 women, all teachers or retired teachers very nice folks! Anyway, our server was Luis he was very busy! He was friendly and efficient enough, but not outstanding. Here is a picture of the eating area I copied from the DIS dining link:
Me Ceviche, Nachos de Pollo, Diet Coke, & Frozen Lime Margarita
DH - Sopa Azteca, Carne Asada Tampiquena, Coke
DDs shared with us
We both had the bread pudding for dessert they only had about 3 dessert choices. It was good, but not even comparable to the bread pudding at 'OHana.
The ceviche (seafood marinated in lime juice with tomatoes, chiles, onions and cilantro) was wonderful! This was served cold, kind of like a dip. It had large chunks of seafood and was very mild. Both of the girls loved this and we cleaned this plate. The nachos (border creation of tortilla chips topped with grilled chicken, red sauce, melted cheese, chorizo, jalapenos, tomatoes, and sour cream) were OK the cheese was kind of dry and not sauce-like. However, we enjoyed them and ate about ½ of the entrée there was a lot of food! The Margarita (very large serving) was one of the best Ive ever had and Im a Margarita connoisseur!
DH did not have very much to say about his Sopa Azteca (traditional tortilla soup with avocado, cheese and pasilla pepper) and Carne Asada Tampiquena (grilled beef tenderloin served with a chicken enchilada topped with ranchera sauce, esquites and black refried beans). He did eat most of it, and the girls and I had a few bites of the beef it was very tender and delicious!
Overall, I enjoyed this restaurant and DH ranked it just OK. I think DD2s behavior kind of put a damper on this meal - she had been so good at dinnertime all week and she was just hot and tired; and the cramped space did not help. I would like to try San Angel for dinner when we return and try a different dish. I will definitely return for another Margarita!
Sorry, it was too dark and I was holding DD2 for much of this meal, so I didnt get any pictures!
