If you are talking about the U.S. Disney Dining Plans, they are based on the number of nights you are staying at a Disney Resort. If you are staying for 10 nights, you have 10 days worth of Dining Credits. It is not based on the number of park days you buy. Dining Plan has nothing to do with tickets whatsoever, except you have to buy a minimum ticket. Minimum ticket purchase for Paid Dining Plan is a 1-day base ticket per person in a room. Minimum ticket purchase for Free Dining Plan is a 2-day base ticket per person in a room. So, if you change your 10-day tickets to 6-day tickets, that has no effect on your Dining Plan. Reducing the number of nights you stay at a Disney resort will mean a reduction in Dining Plan Credits. Call again and speak to another agent. The first agent's info was incorrect. You can have 6-day package tickets, plus use the 4 Park Hopper CM tickets in one visit.
