Wow thanks for the great Howdy! We are all the way from Sunny St Albert (which is about 25km North of Edmonton); Westerners!

I understand everyone is meeting somewhere at 3pm, can I meet there too? Would love to meet some of you, even to just say HI and a friendly face on the Cruise.

Glad you're joining us and as far as getting to know everyone, we've still got 2 weeks on here, and 7 whole days on the ship. So tell us a little about yourself..

Oh my, okay me.
Im 41 years old (42 in February), I have a 7 year old (almost 8) boy who is the love of my life. He's in Grade 2 this year.
My son and I went on the 4 night Eastern Cruise last year (August) and loved it. I booked 7 nights this time, and added my parents. Figured it was time to "treat" them for a change. My Dad (aka Opa) turns 76 on this Cruise, so it's time he Cruised (their last real vacation was in 1988).
I have one brother who is 2 years older than me. He has a daughter who is 12.
We all live within 10 miles from each other. My parents actually live around the corner from me (handy for babysitting!).

I'm a member of Beta Sigma Phi (ask me on the Cruise if you don't know what that is), and my mom has been also a member (she just celebrated her 50th anniversary with the organization).

Let's see. What else.

We are happy to being going on this Cruise, Im in DESPERATE need of a vacation and I although my parents weren't keen on it, they are NOW looking forward to Cruising as well.

They think I'm over-exaggerating what this Cruise actually DOES to make you feel at home, they are going to be pleasantly surprised that Im not.

Im also (now) looking forward to meeting all of you, I think it's going to be fun to "know" people on the Cruise before we sail!

Can't wait to meet y'all!!!!

Okay, I assume that's first day? We will be there, eating before we sail...waiting for our luggage to be delivered!

I think just keeping the original list and adding us to it would be the easiest...it sounds like a few already have extras anyways! I have printed off a FE list but I am not sure if it is the most current...do you know what the most current post # is for this list? Thanks so much!

I was about to ask where the meet was, I couldn't remember.

Also, I noticed the FE list has my son Cameron as a girl. He freaked when I told him!!

My mom (mommsmom) asked me to let everyone know that it says "diabetic" on her room because her DH is diabetic, not her. She wants to make sure that she is included in any sweets that are delivered, LOL.


I feel that all the info I have read is now just a big muddle in my head. All of it is just swimming around in there, driving me crazy when I wake up at 4 in the morning.

Anyone else having this problem? ha ha

Working on printing our magnets tonight, but the printer keeps eating the magnetic paper. Starting to get really fustrated.
Shipped a box to the port today!!! Has all the FE and gifts in it. Hope it makes it ok. Just realized you all will not know who our gift is from, sorry about that. So ours will be the no name one.
Think everything is bought, now just to pack. Thinking about sending ahead another box for the other room.

Kim,

If you want to, you can print a sheet of address lables with your From: info on them and just put a lable on each FE gift as you give them out.

That is a good idea Denise. Proble with that is for what we are doing no good way to put a sticker on.


I just realized that I shipped the box to the wrong cabin number. Have it going to the neighbors cabin, Hope I can get this fixed. Have sent a message to the port, and looking for more advice. It has our name on it, so hoping it will turn up in the correct room. Wish me luck.

I need to go over it again in a few days and take stuff out.

Kim- good luck with the box issue. I'm sure you will get it straightened out. Try not to panic.

Ours should read cabin# 5501 or 5505 Look for FE - just because there will only be one FE and I'm not sure which one it will be outside of yet as we are going to take the best cabin to accomodate our kids or at least 2 of them so the other can stay next door with Grandpa & Grandma! Thanks for organizing all of this I'm sure it's been a big job!!! You're great for doing it!

I agree for us too! I've not even started packing for DH & I and we have 3 full suitcases already, mind you I am packing for 5 so I guess we're not doing too bad but I'm sure I'll end up taking some stuff out!
