10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Denise, You rock girl! Thanks so much for taking the time to organize this! :thumbsup2

I went ahead and printed a copy for myself as I am not sure if I will make the DIS meet or not...I just don't want to "have" to be anywhere if the family is content. ;)

My questions is about upgrades...would you know by now if you were going to get one? In other words, are there ever any surprises at the port? I would hate for someone to not get their gifts because they were upgraded at the port and got their room changed (although that would be a good reason). Having never cruised before, I don't even know if this is possible or something I need to worry about. :surfweb:

Good Sunday everyone! I hope Lois isn't getting rained on today. A week from today DH and I will be in Epcot!!! I didn't think this vacation would ever arrive. I have items ready to be packed but won't until later in the week and I will do the cruise stuff first and try to keep our suitcases seperate so I don't have to get into each bag while at OKW. We shall see how that works out.

:welcome: to all our new group members. I can't wait to meet everyone and I hope we can all get together. It will be so much fun to put faces and names together.

Corrections recently made to the FE List!!

1. GGBacha Cabin #2616 5G, 10B

2. BuzzNut Cabin # 8032 7B

Please check your info on post #1916 page #128! Any incorrect info after the cutoff date of Wednesday Sept 24th will remain!

Also, if you get an upgrade or cabin change at the port, make sure I know about this at the drink station on deck 9 at the 3 pm meeting! Thanks to dvanhazel for this reminder!!!

Hello!
Hope everybody has a beautiful Sunday.
Here is a new picture of Katie:

She is doing a bit better evey day. She seems to be slowly getting her legs back. She is moving them like crazy!! :cool1: Still no official walking but that is the very last thing to come bak. We are still hoping and praying. She looks very good!

Note: to our newest cruisers: Katie is my child! 5 weeks ago she had emergency spinal surgery.

That is great news! She looks so content getting her sun. Glad to hear she is moving and trying.

Okay, that is just too cute! Soaking up the sun....

MommaluvsDis -

I think just keeping the original list and adding us to it would be the easiest...it sounds like a few already have extras anyways! I have printed off a FE list but I am not sure if it is the most current...do you know what the most current post # is for this list? Thanks so much!

Hi deego,
I have an extra FE gift so I'll include you as well!!

We are last on page 1, having to keep us bumped up for the next 12 days.

We have less then 2 weeks left!!!!

Thanks to Denise I am starting to relax about my shipping mistake. Also got a hold of Shirley from the perfect gift, she gave me the name and number of someone to reach in the morning. Thanks for all the help.

Almost all packed, at least for me. Have not started to pack the kids yet. Guess I will be busy next weekend.

Hi Everyone....looks like all you guys go out just two weeks before we do. We are doing a western on Oct 18th. Was just wondering if anyone would mind saving copies of the Navigators and posting them or e-mailing them to me upon your return. I know there isn't much time....but since the magic has been in Dry dock...and things are changing....we have a bunch of people on our thread that would absolutely love to get a look at them ahead of time? Please PM Me if anyone would be up to it! Thanks a million. Diane

FE CHANGE!

Biroberts stateroom # 8524

Thanks Denise - I will just use your list from the DIS meet as I have not been keeping up with the changes.

Unless someone creates a day for me between now and Friday - I am pretty much toast. I had so much planned for yesterday and last night and I spent my entire day - from 8:00 yesterday morning until shortly after 9:00 last night at the office helping with an upgrade. :scared1: At this point I have no idea how I will get done. I need to check my work calendar and get some time back. It will all work out - it always does. I just hate it when I am all stressed out right before we leave.

Hello Buccaneers!!!!!

I'm on my lunch break, but wanted to check in. We're getting closer! I did a huge portion of our packing yesterday. I'm going over to help my mom get organized with it this afternoon.

Good news: My BIL gets to finish work by Wenesday of next week. That means he can possibly travel home that night or early Thursday morning.

Still to pray about: My sister reports for jury duty Monday morning. I just don't have an anxious feeling about this though. I can't imagine that 1) God would want our whole family to be disrupted so that she could serve on a jury; and 2) that a judge would make her lose out on such a huge investment that has been planned for two years. Just keep praying for her. :worship:

I'm off to teach again. My ticker shows nine days, eighteen hours, and three minutes!!! :rotfl:

Ordered my daughter a Little Mermaid costume yesterday. She is 3 and says "Mommy, when we get on Mickey's boat can use a Magic wand and turn me into a Mermaid." She also wants to be a princess. I thought a Cinderella costume would be enough but I guess I need the Mermaid costume too!!!

Started packing this weekend.

Thanks mollygirl13...I am busy working on our FE gifts....I feel like I am running out of time!

MommaluvsDis - Hi Denise...I was just wondering if it was OK to deliver my FE gifts on Monday/sea day instead of Thursday/sea day...I have added something to mine that would be nice to have for Wed. Thanks!!

Well...I have just realized... after my DH and I spent the day at Canada's Wonderland with our kids yesterday that rollercoasters now make me a little nauseous. LOL I think it must be the age thing! I used to be able to ride them over and over again...! Since this is our families first cruise...what are the chances that I (or any of us) will get sea sick and what are your recommendations???!!!

Im getting the "patch" for the boat and the rides after (we are headed to WDW after the Cruise. One patch lasts 3 days and you get two in a box. I got two boxes. Also took along a 30 of Gravol just in case.

Both are available in Canada here, over the counter.

Im not even good with riding in the back seat, let alone a plane, boat OR rides. But last year I didn't find the boat affected me as much. Once you get off, however, you may sway a little here and there to "right" yourself (your body does this naturally).

I hope Im ready for all of this..... 11 days till we fly out!!
ACK!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is in the club entitled: "I used to love Rollercoasters but now that I'm older they make my head spin!"

I used to be addicted to Roller Coasters. Now that I'm in my mid-30's, I can't seem to do them any longer. BUT, I have been on a few cruises and never had a problem with seasicknesses. Try not to think about it too much-I'm sure you will be fine! I'm sure someone here can recommend something to bring just in case!
