Denise (Deego)... Welcome! It is too late to get in on the official Fish Extender gift exchange. We set the cut-off for August 23 because we have several families leaving this week for vacation. We do have quite a few new people in the last few weeks, so maybe you all could do your own exchange? I do have extras of the gifts I am giving, and would be glad to drop it by your cabin on my delivery days. (Oriental Trader screwed up, so now I have 1 of my gifts running out of my ears!)

Holy Cow, Lois!!! I would be a nervous wreck! I am in a rush just getting ready for the beach this weekend.

Hi everyone,

Chris and I spent the weekend at the beach in Ocean City NJ. The weather was superb at a fantastic 90 degrees! The water temp was around 70 degrees so we had 2 nice beach days.

Katie is doing better every day. She seems to be getting more feeling in her back legs. She is moving them periodically and seems to be trying to stand. She gets her acupuncture treatments and they semms to be helping her out. We still have a ways to go but small improvements add up to big ones!

I just found out today that my Darling Christopher was planning on only bringing one pair of pants with him on the cruise!
You see, Chris is the CEO of a Surgery Center and has an MBA (he also is an RN and has numerous healthcare certifications!!). This perplexes me to no end since he is normally very intelligent! I don't know what he was thinking when he thought that one pair of pants was going to get him through 7 days on the ship and 3 days in Walt Disney World!

The good thing is that we went to Kohl's tonight and he now will be bringing more than 1 pair of pants!

Husbands. Sometimes they must be supervised.

Jacquelyn - Dave does his own packing. On one Magic cruise, he forgot to pack pants! As he was getting dressed for dinner, he realized HIS mistake. So he wore shorts. After dinner, we headed to Treasure Ketch and, luckily, he found 2 pair of black pants in his size. I still like to tease him about that!

Just wanted to introduce our family as we are so excited to be cruising for our first time. Our 7 year old daughter has successfully beaten Leukemia (Cancer) and her wish was to go on a Disney Cruise. The wonderful people at Make-A-Wish have delivered the itineray and we are way too excited!!!

After 25 months of chemotherapy treatment, she is back to herself and we are very grateful. Hope to meet some of the great people from DIS who are cruising this same week.

Welcome modlitekrt1 and family! So happy to hear that your daughter has successfully beaten leukemia.

Dave and I are back from the Wonder. We got off the ship yesterday morning..... We had a great cruise with our family group of 11. The four little Musketeers did so well as they were out of their routine, new adventures, new beds, etc. The 3 older ones (6 and 2 4 yr olds) did not go to the kids club often, but did go while we had brunch and dinner at Palo. The little one, 2 yrs, did very well at Flounders. Mickey Mouse was playing with her. When my DD dropped her off one time for Palo, Stitch was rocking a baby. So cute. Everything was wonderful. We saw the new show, Toy Story. A comedian/ventroliquist, Michael Harrison, was good entertainment for the adults and kids. No pub night on the last night. Pub night is a MUST for all adults on the Magic. No new news about the new ships or any news about the 2010 itineraries. We were too busy with the kids to go to the DVC gathering and DCL repeat cruiser gathering. Dave got his Mickey Mouse bar fix this week.

Check out our next cruises. Dave and I booked our 25th anniversary cruise on the 9/19/09 Magic. I booked a cruise for 1/10/09 with my DD's m-i-l. We both had a great time together on this week's cruise and decided to cruise again.

My son and myself had such a good time on our Disney Cruise last August (2007) we decided to book another. This time tho, we are taking MY parents!
Yep, the Grandparents are coming this time
They have never cruised before, and were quite reluctant to cruise this time, however given we have waited 407 days, the closer we get to the cruise date, the more excited they seem to get.
New clothes, new shoes... and a great attitide! They are getting as excited about this "trip" as my son (turning 8 on the Cruise) and I are over going again!

I honestly think Disney is the only cruise line I will ever cruise with. I can't see anyone topping the excellent service, and one on one feeling that we got from all the staff on the Ship. Seriously, we got to know our Housekeeper Brian so well, my son still misses him to this day!

Anyway, hope to see some of you on this Cruise, maybe we should all wear badges or something so we "know" who each other is!

Two birthday parties on the Cruise..... Opa; October 5/32 and Skyler; October 6/00.... a couple of great kids!!!!!

Thanks Jan! Im looking forward to it as well. I haven't had a chance to go through ALL the threads, but it looks like you guys have been talking and planning for a while. I feel so left out.
Sure wish I had found you guys sooner.
Would be neat to "know" some people on the same ship!

Lori - NO I'm not . However I do have everything we need so now it is just getting everything intgo bags. We each take 1 carryon bag & DH & I have a small backpack each as well. This time we are also taking a checkin bag with the things we can't take on the plane like shampoo and will fill it up with shopping on the way back, I'm sure .
