Hi Tania...thanks for the welcome and very cool that it comes all the way from New Zealand! My son is currently 17 and we will be celebrating his 18th birthday while on the cruise (Tuesday the 7th). I didn't celebrate my 18th birthday in Grand Cayman. But, the day we board is my birthday and I am a part of the 40-club...lol! Since posting earlier this afternoon, I have been reading the posts from the beginning. Very interesting to get a glimpse into everyone's lives and sharing the anticipation.

WELCOME!! Glad you will be joining us. You will find all pertinent info on page 1, post 4. My daughter Avery will be turning 6 on Wed, Oct 8th. She is really excited that she will have her birthday in Mexico. And she keeps telling everyone that DCL is giving her a birthday party with fireworks.

I am so looking forward for September to get here. Planning two DCL cruises scheduled within 2 weeks of one another is keeping me busy!!!!!

I chuckled about the "40s club" comments. Is there a club for amost 60 year olds??? You know, us aging boomers???!!! Oops, just remembered that my DH Dave is now in the "60s club". Are we getting too old to cruise DCL???!!!

Really enjoying conversing with all of you (y'all)...I should have joined in ages ago! Usually it's just my family that gets all of the details of my planning. Need to restrain myself at work as I'm fairly sure they all think I'm Disney nuts...they say my boyfriend lives in Florida really, I don't know what they're talking about (M-I-C-K-E-Y)!
Ian - you're not too far from us. We are in Burlington. Are you enjoying this beautiful weekend? Oh well...good excuse to watch many hours of Olympics!

Jan - I'm sure there must be a 60's club because my Mom is a part of that and she definitely is not over cruising (or anything else) Disney.

Kari - My son is looking forward to his birthday in Grand Caymen, but for some reason he is all about going to Mexcio. I would have to agree with your daughter that Disney is definately setting off fireworks for her birthday...oh to turn back the clock to that age

Denise - Is it too late to join in the fish extender fun? Our family is Mom-Beth, Son-Jordan, and myself-Wendy. We are in 7618 and have the second dinner seating

Update on my Mom - guess she had lots of pain in her shoulders and feet yesterday. My guess on that is the fact that her neck is now straight. When DH had his fusion, he had a bad night the first night with pain in his shoulders as well - from straightening and lenghening his back out so my guess is that is what Mom was experiencing as well. I hope her recovery goes quickly but she does have to wear that neck brace for six weeks (24x7) so we shall see. Thanks again for all the kind words and prayers.

We spent yesterday in Traverse City and I got some items to decorate our door at the party paper store. Now I just have to get magnet to stick them on.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! We were super busy, but it was fun.

I was finally able to get my kids to post on the Jr Buccs thread. They are so weird about stuff like that... being scared to post to a thread with kids their age. I am hoping they will talk with them a bit and get comfortable. Ginger (GGBacha) my kids were excited to see a pic of your kids on there. Avery said "They look just like us!" She wanted to know your DDs name and age.
