Hello Everyone,

My friend's niece was found and is home safe and sound! They had to pay 2 more ransoms, but she was returned. She seems to be fine physically. I'm sure they will be finding out more info as time goes by. My friend was so thankful for all of your prayers. Thank you also from me. I can't imagine what that family has been going through the past few days.

Welcome WolfeinTN. I am originally from Murfreesboro, but now live in North AL. What part of TN are you from?

On another happy note, my TA emailed me and said we have been changed to main dining from late dining. We were wanting to change, so things are working out for the best for us.

Hope everyone has a great evening. We leave for Boston tomorrow for a few days. DH has work up there next week, so we are going early for a short vacation. We will fly back Tuesday afternoon. The kids are very excited, especially about seeing a Red Sox game tomorrow night.

Remember, only 114 days to go.

Gena - that is such wonderful news. Made me cry when I read your first post on the subject and then this one did too. We will continue prayers that all is well.

Guess what the mailman brought me? Guess, come on, play with me here. OK - you give up? I got our planning kit today. YIPPEE! Can't say that there is anything I didn't already know (or know where to find the info anyway) but it is nice to have. Just another thing to get me excited.

Only two more days and then a weekend alone - and with our new dog too. I have a friend that has a chocolate lab and he is coming here on a trial basis - we will see how it works out. I will have someone to walk with (and protect me from that drat bear that roams here).

That's wonderful news Gena. So pleased she is ok, at least physically. Pleased that you have got the dining you wanted as well .

We have just found out that our stop at Costa Maya the week before has been cancelled, going to Grand Cayman instead . Which is a real bummer as the itinerary now only has one port different from this one - CC instead of Key West. Never mind we will get 3 stops at CC over 2 weeks, so I guess it's not all bad news.

My wife an I live in Murfreesboro, TN. We hate to not go to the parks this time, but we wanted to try the 7 day cruise. I love going to Epcot during the Wine & Food Festival, but I know the food will be terrific on the Magic. What is the food like on the days after the first rotation?

I had a really rough night last night... couldn't sleep to save my soul! I woke up about every hour all night long, and was up for good an hour before my alarm went off. I HATE THAT!! I was dealing with a migraine yesterday that never went completely away, so I think that was part of the problem. Its still here today, so I am hoping it doesn't intenify through the day again.

Gena... so glad for your friend's family. I can't imagine the terror they were feeling.

Lori... good to see you post. Are you feeling better since school let out? How was your trip to see your friend?

karibritt...thanks for asking, I'm better, and my trip to St. Louis was really good. I hadn't seen her in a year so it was nice to have a chance to catch up face-to-face.

Sorry that you couldn't sleep last night, I had a night like that a few nights ago and it was miserable. I've been waking up around 3 each morning and having problems going back to sleep. Last night, I used a tiny bit of a sore throat as an excuse to take NiQuil and it was nice to sleep through the night (well, more or less).

WolfeinTN... This is our first cruise, so I can't I had a really rough night last night... couldn't sleep to save my soul! I completely know what that's like!!!! It's awful although at this moment I should be touching wood or wrapping myself around a tree because I haven't had one of those in a while! LOL

Gena - I'm so glad to hear everything seems to be alright and especially that she is home, McKenna (my dd) is just 5 today and I can't even imagine going through an ordeal like that, they are so helpless at these young ages in situations like this!

I'm hoping to see my cruise planning kit soon too! Maybe next week as I just checked the mailbox and nadda! Just bills and junk mail!

On an exciting note I'm just about to book a weekend in Vegas for dh and I in August! We've both never been so it should be fun at least I hope it will I'm not much for extreme heat so that will be a bummer! But I guess it's just a "warm-up" (no pun intended ) for my next two tropical trips this year!

Today has been a very stinky day... literally! There are wildfires burning near the NC coast (about 2 1/2 hours away) and the smoke is blowing in. It is very hazy outside, and makes your nose and eyes burn just to walk out. And now my house is starting to stink from the AC dragging it in!

I checked my mailbox today... no planning kit. Will I get one even though I haven't paid off my cruise yet? Didn't know if they waited until final payment was made.

I checked my mailbox today... no planning kit. Will I get one even though I haven't paid off my cruise yet? Didn't know if they waited until final payment was made.

Thanks for the birthday wishes....she's pretty excited about it....we just finished off her treat bags for the party on Saturday....my youngest dd's birthday is on Saturday and she'll be 1!!!! We are hosting a Luau for them both and I hope we have some good weather for it....it's been raining her so much with more thundershowers forecast for this evening again!

That's awful about the fires! We sometimes get smoke like that when the fires are burning up north but none this year yet! I have bad allergies and that is one of the worst times of the year for me!

Good question on the planning kit....we have the funds sitting here to pay off our trip and for some reason our TA says we can't until July 21???? I'm just assuming she knows what she's talking about. I'd love to get it paid off just so I know it's been done! I know we can't book kids clubs and excursions until it's paid off and until July 21. Oh well....unless i'm told different I'll just go with what she says!

Actually, July 21 is the LAST day to pay the trip off. My TA wants my payment to her by July 14th so she will have time to get mine in on time. I would go ahead and send it soon, so you are clear to book things 1st thing on the 21st.

I paid my cruise off months ago and I still do not have my planning kit. Only time will tell.

You can pay your cruise off whenever you want and if your TA will not send in your payment you need a new TA next time. My TA sent in our payment several months ago. 7/21 is the last date final payment can be made. DCL has to have the payment by that date. You can not book anything on line until DCL has your listed as paid in full. I hope this helps. Most likely just a misunderstanding between you and the TA I hope. Lois

We got our cruise planning kit a couple of days ago but I've been busy. This is a rough time of the year as my cousin and I are incharge of purchasing all of the food for our 3 day, 2 night annual family reunion. It's hard to know how much to buy because one year, 90 people may show up and the next, 150! And it's a total of 5 meals, 2 breakfasts, one lunch and 2 dinners.

If this is your first cruise with Disney then your TA is correct about not being able to book anything until July 21, but she is wrong about the final payment. I can't believe she told you that, most agents love it when they have all the payment early. You can pay off your cruise on any date before the final payment is due.
If you have plans of booking any excursions, spa treatments or Palo reservations on July 21, the begining date of booking for first time cruisers. Your pickings are going to be limited because first timer are the last to select times, that is unless you have concierge services, staterooms in Cat. 1-3.
You really should have your final payment made before hand. You can start booking online at midnight.

Thank heaven that we are flying NW and I purchased our tickets before the second bag charge started as they are honoring 2 bags per person for us. I think that charging for the first bag is a bit much. But one could also ship the contents of their bags for less money (or about the same anyway) but who wants to wander around with cardboard boxes???

I am so glad we don't have to fool with flying! It's a long drive for me (9 hours) but well worth avoiding the hassle!
