Lori, yes I did like it. Very easy read. Once I finished I felt a bit lost as there will be no more. Now what am I going to read??

I know how your DH feels. I went on a school trip for a week last year with my DD (I looked after 6 girls incl dd). On the way home from the aiport I banned dd & her friends from singing or clapping. I couldn't stand it anymore . Got home & just wanted to escape from any children & sleep .

Both boys had a great time at camp. Now I have one hoping school was starting now, nad the other who never wants to go back

Nothing much has been goning on here. May go to Chattanooga this weekend to get away. We will have to see what Friday night brings.

Hello All! Count us in on this cruise! It will be me (Kari), DH Wynn, DS 9 Tucker, and DD4 Avery. We haven't booked officially yet... I will do that in Mid-September... I can only concentrate on one vacation at a time! I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and hearing what everyone is planning!

We never made it to Chattanooga. We took the boys to Holiday World. Had such a good time, but drove up and back in the same day. Made for a really long day for mom and dad. Boys slept there and back.

My DH's family is from Ayden and Winterville. We will be down there next weekend for a family reunion.

Am I the only first time cruiser on this thread so far? I feel so confused trying to plan having never done this before! I noticed there are lots of kids going in Sept. My kids go to year-round school, so we scheduled for their break. What is everyone else is doing? I was worried that there wouldn't be many kids for mine to play with in the clubs!

Dvanhazel -- I feel "honored" that your first post on the DIS boards was on our thread!!!!

With so many of us having earned our sea ears on DCL, please feel free to ask any questions. We'll all be glad to help with your planning.

I admit -- I am an obsessive planner. But the more I cruise on DCL, the less obssessive I become as the Magic and Wonder are my places of rest and relaxation.

Don't worry about the Magic being 10 years old next year. She is beautiful!

We are looking so forward to all of our kids, spouses and our wonderful 6 grandchildren will be together this weekend. It happens about once a year when my Morgantown, West Virginia kids come back to visit. Of course, this grandma can't wait to be with her six kids -- all under the age of 5!

Hi and welcome. We are first time Disney cruisers and my first post to this site was on this board too, so, we have that in common. I'm finally finding my way around and asking questions. We have never been to Disney and never been on a Disney cruise. Im starting to ask about Disney hotels and such, just looking no decisions about pre cruise this early.

LOL That is why I am stressed over beaches, excursions, etc 14 months out! My trip to WDW this past June was in the works for 9 months! But it was so worth the effort!

Enjoy the family this weekend... its sounds like SO much fun!

We have never been to Disney and never been on a Disney cruise. Im starting to ask about Disney hotels and such, just looking no decisions about pre cruise this early.

We stayed at CSR last summer and this summer... it is so beautiful! We stayed at Comfort Inn off property the night before we checked in, and I could hardly wait to get to CSR! The whole feel of the resort is so relaxing, you feel yourself unwind... even while waiting to check-in!

We are thinking of adding a day at Sea World to the end of our trip. Avery (DD 4) has her heart set on it, and refuses to go on the cruise unless we go there also!

Well, it's official, I'm back to work. We had to return to teacher inservices last Thursday. Kids don't come back until next Monday, the 13th.

I do NOT look forward to waking up at 5:30 next week.

My kids came back today. I'm totally wiped out! I am obsessed with checking prices for the cruises this fall break. I don't know if I can make it until October 08. I may have to sneak in one before then!! My will is being weakened by the stresses of life!!

to all of our new cruisers. What a summer it has been - and I guess still is. I can't beleive that some of you are back to school already. Michigan made it a state law that public school can't go back until the day after Labor Day. My youngest is a senoir in high school this year and two a day soccer practice starts tomorrow (with a trip to Haslett in a few weeks Jan) and band camp on Tuesday so we are gearing up to go back.

Hot here - but I was in Tampa last week and that was hotter and much more humid. Our weather website says 40 tonight so at least we will cool off a bit.

I have not thought much about this trip other than to get it booked and probably won't until after our Thanksgiving trip to WDW and Wonder cruise. DH enjoys the Food and Wine festival so I might try to add on a day or two before boarding.

I am so sorry for your loss. Having lost my Dad last October, I can certainly understand the pain. He had been sick for a while, but it is never easy. A sudden loss or watching them suffer It all stinks...

Very sorry to hear about your father. My DH's father died suddenly 10 years ago and it was a very difficult time for the family, especially for my MIL, so I will be thinking of you and your family. Also thinking of your mother and hope she will get through this time ok with your love & support.
