10:30 fantasmic...a few ?

I am (still hoping and praying that I will go!!) planning a trip in May and was checking the hours for fantasmic, noticed that MGM closed at 10 and there is Fantasmic at 10:30...did a search here and someone who went in aug had the same ??....just wondering how that worked. Was it less crowded than the earlier show? Did the show really take place or was it a typo? How far in advance do you think we should get seated? We would be attending the May 21st fantasmic. This is a sunday night and there is evening EMH at MK, so I'm hoping MGM and fantasmic will be even less crowded. thanks!

We've done the late Fantasmic a couple of times. It's just like the regular one, except there's almost no waiting and you get great seats. If you can stay up that late, it's definitely the way to go.

We had wondered that the first time as well... it's not a typo... there IS a Fantasmic show on some nights at 10:30. We did it on our last trip... walked into MGM right before closing, hit a shop or two as we walked over to the staging area... and waited maybe 10 minutes for the show to start. We could have sat right down front but didn't want to get so much spray from the water effects.

My kids love the memory of this because we had just come from a loooong day at MK... my DS and I decided to tough it out and run over to see the show (we were staying at BW)... suddenly my DD who I thought was OUT for the night sits right up and yawns and says "where are my shoes?" We all ended up going and loved it!

Thank you! That was what I was hoping to hear! We will be arriving on the 21st after a long drive from NY so the kids will be all wired up and will be able to make it that late...we just won't do EMH at MGM the next morning and sleep in. Fantasmic is worth it!
