I believe this is our third Halloween cruise as well. Which ones have you been on?

Seeing as how this is our first cruise, are there any recommendations for excursions, dining on board or anything? I've thought about the dolphin swim and turtle farm but not sure if they are worth it. Any previous experiences? Thanks

My one DS and I did the dolphin swim in Cozumel on our first cruise and it was amazing! I actually didn't want to even do it originally but my son who was 13 at the time had saved up his money and needed an adult to go with him. I LOVED it! Not sure about the turtle farm but we are thinking about it for this cruise too.

We will also be joining you on this cruise. I had originally booked for May but forgot to look at the calendar and we would be gone over Prom. That would not go over well with the girlfriend so we moved it to October (our favorite time to cruise anyway). Like many, this will be our second Halloween cruise but our first time on the Fantasy so we are so excited. I will also have to join in on the FB chats.

this is our 3rd time cruising DCL for Halloween - I'm sure it will be a great cruise!

Happy Monday morning! (well, not really happy - hey, I'm up, I'm at work and......only half way through my coffee so no bright eyes or bushy tail yet in sight).

Looking at my work calendar - in 5 months we'll be on the cruise (I know not 5 months to the day - but 5 months from now I'll not have the Monday morning blues!)

I am struggling a bit with our FE gifts - in the past we've always done something homemade or a mix of homemade (little purses, necklaces, memory keepers, tote bags) but this time - for whatever reason - I'm just not feeling crafty and my mother is working on several big projects right now so I can't recruit her to do it. I'm guessing that I'll buy our FE gifts this year and just accept that little guilt twinge every time we get something hand crafted.

Just booked this cruise it will complete my grand slam cruises. I actually was on the Fantasy for a travel agent tour last year. This will be 10th DCL and 36th cruise. If you have questions about the port feel free to ask been on the Western many times. We are at Vero Beach precruise for 2 nights. This will be a fabulous cruise so can't wait.

Congrats on the grand slam! After this one, I'd have still have to sail the Wonder to complete the set for me.

I started cruising in 2010 and have been bit hard by the cruising bug - this October will be cruise #10 in total for me (#5 on DCL).

Don't guilt yourself! FE's should never cause stress! Do what works for you and enjoy the fun!
