Just popping in quick while my coffee is brewing......

We got to our friends' house to pick them up for dinner and ...........

the whole neighborhood was there to yell surprise and eat and drink and wish me a happy birthday. It was a great party. Claiborne's will have to wait until another time.

Coffee's done.

Happy Belated Birthday Paige!

:jumping1: :bday: party:

I hope you had a great day!

No, Mom and my sister havent got along in years.
She visits for half an hour at christmas
My sister has always been quite a loner even as a kid, she doesnt mix well with people - she's more of a dog person. Theres 4 years between us so she didnt play with me much when we were little. All my family are wierd:confused3 (except me of course;) )
Yup, me too, Actually I just consider myself ORIGINAL!:goodvibes

Ok, so do your Mom and Dad get along? She must get along with someone?:rotfl:

Well it must be a night of headaches for both of us Andy. Devin just announced that he is thinking of quitting school and joining the Army. I have nothing against the military, but as a mother and the way the world is right now I'm freaking out a little, well a lot. In fact I am crying while posting this. OK Paige where are you, I need you to tell me it isn't as bad as I am thinking.

:scared:
:grouphug: :grouphug:  :grouphug: :grouphug:  :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thanks everyone....We sat and talked today. We told him that we would support him with whatever decision he made but we need to sit and weigh the pros and cons. He thought this would be a good way to be on his own. He also thought that he would be able to continue to go to school and be in the military. We told him that would highly be unlikely. We also told him that there would be a good chance that he wouldn't be able to pick what he wanted to do. Then we went over the pros of serving his country, and the ability to travel, etc. Sean then went to tell him that if he sprung on us that he just went and enlisted without one of us to be there as support, he would be on his own, all the while I am thinking no way are you throwing him to the wolves. I then asked him if he still wanted to be a police officer, and he said yes. I told him that he needed to realize that he can start applying in as little as 2.5 years from now, which seems like a lifetime to a teenager. We then went over what he could do until then, classes in foreign language, working on a degree, which means more money.
So he went out with his girlfriend and talked to her about it, and guess what he isn't going in (for now), but he is planning on moving in with the girlfriend sometime at the end of the year! Ok I am laughing now, but could someone please pass the clairol, I am going to go completely gray!

Yeah!:thumbsup2

And also

More hugs to you! :grouphug:

Wow! How cool! A golden ticket!:thumbsup2

Ok, what is an e ticket?:confused3

Back in the dawn of "the world" you used to buy a book of tickets to get you on the rides. An E ticket was for the very best rides. Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Counrty Bear Jamboree :scared: That is why you hear some Disney purists say things like Space Mountin is an E ticket or Everest is an E ticket, meaning the best of the best.

Thanks! :thumbsup2 I've never heard of that. I get it now.

Here is a ref. from Wikipedia
Since the 1950s, E Ticket (or E ticket ride) has referred to an unusually thrilling, interesting, most-interesting, or most-expensive situation. It derives from the tickets used at Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks until 1982. Park-goers bought tickets in different denominations, from A through E, with E tickets being the most expensive and reserved for the newest, most expensive or popular rides and attractions.

Tickets could be purchased individually or in booklets, with the purchased booklets including tickets of each category. A book may contain, for example, a park admission ticket, one A ticket, one B ticket, two C tickets, three D tickets, and three E tickets. Booklets tended to have more high-level (D and E) tickets than lower-level tickets like A and B. People tended to leave the park with A and B tickets not because they had received large numbers of them, but because the A and B rides were less common and less popular.
My MIL still has 2 whole books! One from DL (she is from Long Beach, CA) and 1974 WDW. I want to have them framed so they will last longer but she will not give them to me! My husband is an only child and she has to die someday! ;)

Cheryl/Janice, do you guys need anything painted inside your house?

I see Jen and Nancy want Karen to paint their rooms and I know we have a couple of rooms that need it too.

Here's my thought, although I'm sure Karen wouldn't be up for it.

We all chip in and buy her an airline ticket to come here. For the cost of the ticket and room and board at each of our houses while she's here, she will do our painting.

How does that sound?

We get to see an old friend and get our houses painted. :thumbsup2

Throw in a bottle of merlot and its a deal!

Actually I was thinking that I had wanted to paint some walls, but haven't decided on a color yet. But I bet I could be decided by the time Karen finished at everyone else's house. I don't know if Cheryl needs any other painting done, Rachel said they just painted their living room.
Just let me know when she is coming:lmao:

Its nice to be wanted:goodvibes

Hey! It was my idea! I get her first!! That and she is closer to me!! ;)

And now you're all fighting over me:banana:

.........the only thing is............. no-one has actually seen my ability to paint:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Works with me. :thumbsup2

Actually, I'm not so sure I should be saying this, but Chuck LOVES to paint. He might feel a little sad if I give his job away to Karen. But, I would still love to have her stay here while she is on a break from the rest of you guys.
:goodvibes

 I could help with your cd's instead:hug:

Karen, I never read that poem (?) before. It was very sad. I do believe in angels myself and so does Chuck.

One month after his mom died Chuck was almost crushed against a dock by a truck that wasn't chocked correctly. The truck came rushing back and someone yelled out "look-out"! Without turning to "look", Chuck said he felt himself get pulled to the side.

The truck crashed against the dock and it was heavily damaged. One of the dock workers ran to see if Chuck was ok and Chuck thanked him for yelling out to him. The worker said he never yelled out a thing and that it appeared that Chuck was lifted off the ground and thrown to the side.

It's still a mystery to this day. :confused3

Someone was defiantely looking over him that day.

My Dad has survived 2 major crashes - I'm sure theat he has an  looking after him too.

Really... Nancy send Chuck to my house and he and Karen can start on the Eastern Seaboard and work there way across then we can all meet up in LA and take the Repo Cruise back to FL!! Brilliant!

This idea just gets better:rotfl:

Ok, so do your Mom and Dad get along? She must get along with someone?:rotfl:

Dad puts up with Mum for a quiet life:rolleyes1 ...sort of a "yes dear, no dear" life for Dad....he's too frightened to say anything else:lmao:

They're still together so I guess it cant be all that bad, but he does have an extroidinary ammount of patience:rotfl2:

Stop talking like that Dawg. Do you really want me to come over there and open up a can of whoop a$$ on ya? :rotfl2:
better get in line behind sweet tart.

Isn't she worth it? Don't forget, you married way out of your league.

so noted. i'll let it go this time.

I went to a dentist today:eek: - I entered a competition at a new posh dental surgery and I got into the last few. We had to go and see them today - the prize is up to £10,000 worth of treatment:yay: :yay: They took photos and they are going to choose the best candidate for a "makeover" to launch their dental practice.

They do botox aswell:thumbsup2 - If I win you wont recognise me on the cruise:rotfl2: ....now all I need is to enter a competition to win liposuction and "personality" implants competitions and I'll be sorted:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Keep your fingers crossed - Botox here I come!

Karen,

I want you over at my house, too!
:

No problem Jen - I'll be over to paint once I've done the others:goodvibes
