I had a "personality" reduction 3 yrs ago this August. Best thing I ever did! 7lbs total taken off. That is a lot to shoulder  for a little 5'2" 130lb person like myself!

I posted a Damned update for anyone who wants to read it - thanks! :goodvibes

:dance3: On my way!!
And I have to tell you that Woody is more of a wine snob than I am. He went to the store and got beer for me and a few bottles of wine for himself!! Next thing I know he will be into my cold cream and reading my trashy books.:rotfl: I'll post pics! :lmao:

Hugs to you Becky

Maybe he'll change his mind.

I wish I could say something to make you feel better. Since I can't, just accept this cyber-hug because you need one right now.

I don't have any words of wisdom, but as a mom, I can understand your worries. And mine's only 5!

Becky, let's share some of these    together. My concerns don't seem so big now, but when we are going THROUGH it, they sure do seem mighty LARGE. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, as will your son!!!

Here are a few hugs from Wisconsin too Becky.
I totally understand your angst.

yikes!!:scared: :scared:
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: for you guys.
hows sean feel about it?

Thanks everyone....We sat and talked today. We told him that we would support him with whatever decision he made but we need to sit and weigh the pros and cons. He thought this would be a good way to be on his own. He also thought that he would be able to continue to go to school and be in the military. We told him that would highly be unlikely. We also told him that there would be a good chance that he wouldn't be able to pick what he wanted to do. Then we went over the pros of serving his country, and the ability to travel, etc. Sean then went to tell him that if he sprung on us that he just went and enlisted without one of us to be there as support, he would be on his own, all the while I am thinking no way are you throwing him to the wolves. I then asked him if he still wanted to be a police officer, and he said yes. I told him that he needed to realize that he can start applying in as little as 2.5 years from now, which seems like a lifetime to a teenager. We then went over what he could do until then, classes in foreign language, working on a degree, which means more money.
So he went out with his girlfriend and talked to her about it, and guess what he isn't going in (for now), but he is planning on moving in with the girlfriend sometime at the end of the year! Ok I am laughing now, but could someone please pass the clairol, I am going to go completely gray!

Oh and Brenda, you have inspired me. I am reading Wicked, not a historical book, but one that I have been wanting to read. This book kind of has a slow start, Sean said to stick with it maybe it will get better.

Moving in w/the girlfriend is better than enlisting in the military.

Good for you! I haven't read that one, but I know several people who have and they all really liked it.

And great news from your DS. :thumbsup2 I agree with Janice ... girlfriend is way better than the army right now.

I'm actually a Civil War buff. In fact a few years ago we found out that my grandfather's great great uncle was the vice president of the confederacy, and that person's father was apart of the American revolution. So technically I can be apart of the Daughters of the Confederacy and the Daughters of the American Revolution, don't think I will though.
