Was I surprised to find my Federal Tax Refund deposited into my checking account already(yesterday). Me likey this surprise.........:goodvibes

When I did my taxes last Friday, it was stated that my refund would be deposited on 2/15.

Now I just have to wait for my State Refund to be deposited.

Wasnt me - it was Lindy Loo and I think Rose too. We need a volunteer to organise our martini and beer tasting sessions. Any volunteers?

If I remember correctly they had to email a list of participants to DCL and then we paid when we were at the function. It was great fun. I'm defnately up for another tasting session.:thumbsup2

It was Linda at first. She turned it over to me and since I wasn't participating, Paige and Lynn took it over from me. All kudos go to those two ladies. They did all the work. :grouphug:

:yay: :yay: :yay: Lucky ducks! :yay: :yay: :yay:

We are having ours done tomorrow but I'm not expecting any refunds. The biggest deduction we got to claim (medical) changed for us last year so I'm not too excited.

And yes! I agree with Janice. I love seeing your Good Morning pics. I hope I get to see one every morning until we cruise. :rotfl2: No pressure there, huh?

What's everyone up to this weekend? Anything fun??:wizard:

I haven't Forgotten Our deal on FO's so I wouldn't even think of trying to claim one.:rotfl:

Hazel and I are going to see "Hello Dolly" tonight at http://www.thebroadwaytheatre.org/ we purchased the Main Stage Subscription for 2008. We get to see 6 shows this year for the price of 3. We went to the Broadway Theatre last summer and saw Beauty and the Beast. We enjoyed it so much we decided to go with the season pass this year. We are making an evening of it and going out to dinner before the show, an early Valentine's date!!!

I guess make that 5 shows now. I just checked our tickets and completely forgot we will be in Florida the end of March and will miss one of the shows, unless I can exchange our tickets for another performance. We'll have to check tonight when we get to the theatre if this can be done.

Oh how lovely and romantic! Neil will be working late (AGAIN!) on Valentines night so I'll just cook a meal....not necessarily a healthy one either:rolleyes1

Enjoy your show and meal:goodvibes

Lets get a list started then for Martini tastings and see how many are interested. I'll help organise it if no-one else volunteers, but someone else will have to call DCL for me as its too awkward with my australian accent. :)

Maybe we can mention something on the first post too once we have it organised incase new people join in.

I'll start...

Anyone interested in wristbands again too? How about nice bright orange ones to go with Cass' logo? "I'm with Bob - Oct 24 2009"

Jeff might remember who he used from last time - they were good.

I'll start....

Indeed, Hazel and I would love to be included in the wristbands........:thumbsup2

I'll let him know. I can hear him now..........I think I'll ride down to San Antonio this summer. That would be a nice ride.;)

He was so excited when I was telling him about everyone. Everytime I said something he came up with something he would have in common with that person. Ex. Rob and Paige, my dad was also a marine so he says he can talk about that. I think he is going to have a great time.

Looking forward to it, Lori!

Yes, it was Lynn and I who took it from Nancy after she had done much of the work, who took it from Linda, who had done much of the work, too. so it was easy really.

I wouldn't mind doing this again, maybe closer to cruise time. Getting a list going isn't a bad idea, though.

Brenda--didn't you say the martini tasting was different from the "martini flight" at the bar?

:cool1: Woody should be working on ours this weekend. We never really get anything back. No children and a high combined income. Last year was the first year we didn't have to pay. :wizard: Pixie dust for this year!

Have fun!! :yay:

Woody is into RC cars and a dealer is coming to the hobby shop to test new cars, I think he is going to go. I have some laundry and I/m going to the craft store to pic up some scrapbook stuff and fabric. Sounds exciting doesn't it!

Heather, were there any trivia type games onboard??? I didn't get a chance to do much since we were with Kira.

Rob doesn't like them but I love trivia games ::yes::

:thumbsup2 Def up for some trivia! Is it Disney trivia or just general trivia? We love games of any kind. Woody is a billiards and darts shark so watch out! Cass if the men don't want to play I'll play with you. We saw something about pub trivia. Woody said if it involves beer he is there!

I'm up for trivia, too! And since Rob and I are going without the kids, I will be up for the cooking/entertainment classes, too........and a little alcohol tasting, too

We went to one during family time, it was alot of fun (can't remember which lounge it was at though). We could form a TEAM BOB.

Jay and I both excel at useless trivia...is there any other kind??? His strength is in sports, science, geography, and astronomy and mine is in history and literature. If money or free alcohol are involved in any way you can sign us up! :lmao:

Oh, and how can I forget ... we're both pretty good at Simpson's trivia! ;)

Looks like we've got quite a team going here. There is usually a trivia game each day, but we only managed one in October. Go Team B.O.B:banana:

Heather (or anyone) -

I find I get bored with vegetables sometimes - how do you make them taste good without adding a lot of calories? Any suggestions?

Explain plz Heather. Here's my interpretation... Mash = potaotes, Smash=smashed cauliflower??? How about the mashed swede? Is that sweet potatoes??

Jen - Try a savory gravy to cover them, or do what Rick does and cover them in brown sauce. Stay away from cheese sauces.

Nancy - Mash = potatoes, correct but Smash is a powdered version of potato which has a lower point value. Mash swede is a root vegetable, type of orange turnip? if you've heard of that. You boil diced carrot and diced swede until soft and then mash it, then I add so powdered potato to thicken it. Does this make sense?

I just told Rob that if he joined me for trivia on the cruise there would be guys there that he could chat with about SW. He said "Star Wars Trivia!!!! I can pack it in my suitcase!!" :lmao:

Rick loves Sci Fi, so sure he would join in.

What Disney animated feature was named for the musical term that means "the free development of a composition or theme?"

Heather I have a silly question. I was just watching the Food Network and Jamie Oliver was on talking about brown sauce on eggs. What is brown sauce?

I love swede and carrot. My grandmother used to make it. I havn't had it in years.
