10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat - Thread #1

Good afternoon everyone. It is a very sunny day here in CA, but a bit nippy, well nippy for us thin skinned west coasters. I am officially off for the next week. The staff had a wonderful morning, we had a breakfast potluck as everyone wanted to get out at noon with the kids. My staff as always was very generous, I think I wound up with 4 or 5 Starbucks cards, which should last for a bit as come January 1st the diet (or lifestyle change )starts.

Carrie, have a very Merry Christmas, give our love to Scott and the kids.

Sean, we haven't met yet, but Merry Christmas to your family as well.

Mike thanks for asking about Al He is back on the blood thinners because when you are in atrial fib there is increased risk of stroke. Once they have his blood thinned to the point they'd like, which he is almost at now, they want him to continue like that for a month and then they will increase one of his medications and use the paddles and shock his heart again to hopefully get the heart beat back in a normal rhythym and hopefully it will stay that way this time. If that doesn't work we'll talk again about them trying the cardiac ablation again. So right now were just kind of waiting. For the most part he feels OK, he's just more tired and doesn't have as much stamina and gets a little short of breath at times but his symptoms aren't bad at all compared to some people have with this.

yep we got it but it wasnt too bad. most of the snow has melted. i washed the car today.
cassie said in dayton all the snow is gone. shes sad. im glad.

no.
we are coming home sunday nite. she has the photo studio and cant get away, so we take what we can get.
she wanted homemade sugar cookies so we are now in the middle icing them.
we are getting up about 4 am so we better get our bums in gear.

Mike I posted an update on Al a few posts up on this page. Thanks again for asking about him! Did you have a check up on your heart since we got back from the cruise? If so how did it go? You men and your hearts you sure like to stress us out

We have been losing alot of snow, but more coming tomorrow til Sunday. They say we could get 4-9 inches by Sunday Morning. How about you guys??
Rachel glad to be done w/school of awhile?? The kids are hoping for more snow, so they can get sledding/snowboarding in over vacation. Bryce is excited, he is to get his cast off on the 26th

my older brother has a similar problem as als. took a little while but they got him straightened out.
robin says"you got that right. i feel for you"
i had my checkup but they want to run a few more test on jan 15th so we will know more then. (im fine)(of course i said that the last time.)
maybe we men have bad hearts because the chicks stress us out.

our ds and family left for wdw at 5 this aft.
they hope to get there tomorrow by 12.
it takes about 17-18 hrs to drive there.
we wont see them at xmas either.
but they will be having fun so its ok.
they are staying at the all star music.

Are you guys still thinking of going to WDW next Christmas? I have been trying to keep up with Christmas posts on the trip planning board so that I know how to plan for next year.
