Hi Robin

I see Rachel has been talking to you about our trip to Niagara Falls next summer :rotfl: That's my social butterfly always trying to get together with friends, gotta love it :goodvibes
We are doing a driving trip next summer, starting off in New York City and then Boston and then we'll stop and visit Lurking Lynn and then they'll go to the Falls with us too and then back home. I would like to do both the American and Canadian sides of the Falls. I was there with my mom over 20 years ago and I remember the Canadian side being nicer. I remember beautiful gardens. We are in the midst of picking our summer vacations at work so I should know for sure soon if this is all going to work out like I am planning and then we would be at the Falls the end of June. We can keep you guys posted if you like.

Are you doing American or Canadian?

We don't have any passports yet. I think we need them in 2008, don't we?

The kids are looking forward to Christmas. We are going home to Louisiana. As for leave, the kids are out of school for 2 weeks and Rob will take a week of leave to go home. If he didn't put in for leave, he would have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day off. I think that is pretty standard throughout the US.

As for the cruise, Rob's parents are going to come and stay with our kids while we cruise. And surprisingly, our kids understood and didn't pitch too much of a hissy fit about it. (They know that Granny and Pa will spoil them and give them whatever they want.) We are calling it our 20th anniversary trip, even though we will only be married 19 years Nov 09.:thumbsup2

So glad y'all will be joining us.:thumbsup2

Hi, Sean! So glad y'all decided to do KK2! Rob and I are going without the kids this time around. How are y'all doing? Is Olivia getting excited about Christmas?

I received an email from Linda--she is eyeball deep in getting her house back in order. They are having lots of "red tape" to go through. Seems she won't be in her house until March, at the earliest. :scared1: I'm keeping my fingers crossed that somehow they find their way to doing KK2!

Hey Sean, I think this time we should have another beer tasting, but not organized by DCL--I think you could be our pubmaster and explain the beers to us maybe down by the pool.....I bet Lori's Scott and Missy's Mike would go for that! (and a few others too)

I did send a text to Lindy Loo but havent had a response - poor thing not getting back into ther home before March:eek:

Neil will be up for beer tasting:thumbsup2 - he wanted to make it last time but it clashed with Ellis' graduation thingy and he didnt want to miss that.

I got a grunt of approval last night at 10:15 right after Jason came home from work. :rotfl2:

This will be our second Eastern cruise - our favorite itinerary due to the extra day at Sea and because we love St. Martin. :goodvibes

Real glad you're coming Brenda:thumbsup2

Hey, I'm sure my DH Pete would join you too! :goodvibes

I think most men will join in - us girls can have a coctail tasting while they're gone;)

I've thought of 2 options...please weigh in everyone!

Of course, they are welcome to post here, but if it were me, I think I'd get a bit depressed posting on a future cruise thread when I didn't get to go, SO...

Option 1 - Start a "Konked Kruisers Then and Now" thread and we can all post general random thoughts and silliness (you know, like we always do!).

Option 2 - Post messages on the Yahoo site - it's still open, and we can keep in touch that way.

Either way, we made so many great friends on the October 20th thread, I'd hate for that to end. I was sad that the lights were shut off on the old thread before I got to say goodbye - my PC was acting up and I could not get on the boards last night.

Thanks Jen:thumbsup2 - I just felt really sorry for our old KK1 friends - if I wasnt cruising I dont think I would pop on here very often. Maybe I will pm carrie and see what she thinks.

Nancy,

I was thinking the same thing! We could still meet on Saturday like we did last time, but then also organize a DISparty on one of the first sea days! Maybe take over an area of the Goofy pool or Quiet Cove (depending on who's bringing which youngsters) and just all hang out....:woohoo:

I'll party anywhere and anytime:banana: :dance3: :cool1:
Our impromptu pool party was a blast in October:banana:

Good morning Timon,

Please create another "website" on Cassworld for this cruise with pictures, Walt and DI use it quite frequently when we are stalking people....:lmao:

Thanks for your trip reports and work on website. :thumbsup2
Walt :cool1:

I have a question.....I hope no-one minds me asking.....

What about all the people from KK1 who arent going on this one? - where do they post now if we've shut the KK1 thread?

I feel sorry for Carrie etc who post often but arent going on KK2..:sad1:

I wrote an invitation for them to join us here, I realize that it may be hard to post on a thread for a cruise that they are not on... but I figure that some of them have made good friends on the past cruise and may appreciate the invite.

hi everybody ive made it over to the dark side with you all !!!!!! we are just waiting for a reply before we move our booking but we would love to meet up again, i know we did not meet everybody on the cruise this year so hopefully we could meet more of you on our next cruise.

Welcome!

I know what you mean Steve. We aren't shore people, but for some reason, Castaway Cay calls us off the ship when we are docked there. Last August we were on one of the double dip cruises to Castaway Cay, that was heavenly!!! :goodvibes

We did get off the ship in Costa Maya for about and hour, but stayed on the ship when we arrived at Cozumel.

You know, one of the things that I hope for most is that the Eastern ports are nicer than the Western ones. I've never been much of a Mexico fan and those ports really reminded me of Ensenada (except that the ocean wasn't quite as polluted.) As a result we got off ship then right back on within a few hours.

Welcome back Sean!! I think I only met up once with you. We'll have to make sure that our DISmeet is on Sunday this time when we aren't so rushed.

This is a good idea. I did feel that our initial meeting was too rushed.

Whoo Hoo!

Morning jen, I'm here checking quick before work, need to get things done, have to leave early for DS ortho appointment.

Have a price quote coming from DU, don't know why....everyone is in agreeance.

Nice! Welcome back.

OK - I want to book, but don't yet have my castaway club # from my first cruise this past october.

Does anyone know who I could call to get it?

I would greatly appreciate any help!!!pirate:

Those of us who have called have found the $50 OBC automatically added.

First off ... I love you guys. :grouphug:

Jay and I are thrilled to be booked for this cruise and are very hopeful that nothing forces us to cancel this one. :goodvibes

Second ... I'm testing something, so here is Steve's very nice final post on the KK1 thread in case anyone missed it:

Well, here it is the close of this thread. KK1 was and awesome cruise. I think I speak for all that it was a fantastic cruise with some equally fantastic people. Thank you to all of you who made the cruise what it was.

Now looking forward, I hope to stay in touch in some way or another with all of you. And KK2 is now in the making. I'd like to extend an invitation to all KK'ers even if you are not planning on joining KK2, chat with us on the new thread.

Goodbye dear thread, parting is such sweet sorrow...

Hmmmmm... that didn't quite work the way I wanted it to.

Does anyone know how to post a quote in one thread from a totally different thread?

I feel like a total dummy, but I can't seem to do it the right way. :confused3

For those who are trying to find out what their Castaway Club Member number is, here is the CC # 800-449-3380, one of the CM should be able to give you your CC # over the phone. You might have to wait a few minutes for a CM to answer.

Been a rough morning walking around today reading meters. Slipped and nearly fell about 10 times........

On any given day I would have had 95-100 meters read by lunchtime, today I was only able to get 60 meters read. The ICY sidewalks and steps have been slowing me down, and winter has only started..........

Home now for lunch, and have the heating pad across my knees.......:goodvibes

Brenda, There is probably an easier way but one way that I can think of is to Quote post to the target thread like you would normally do, then highlight the quote (with the HTML code) and CUT it. Then go to the destination page and post there with a PASTE command.

BTW, One can tell that it was late when I posted that quote. I am not normally so repetitive.

Lunchtime is over, time to head back to the water meters, see y'all later............

did this work??

Oh yea, Good Morning All...........

Sorry, it was a long night. Left here after cleaning the sn*w off the car, got to the mall to pick DD up from work, only to find out that the district manager was coming to the store first thing this morning, so Angelina and the assistant manager had to get the store ready for the DM visit. I wound up sitting in the parking lot for over an hour, got home around 11:30 last night. I'm so glad Angelina has off tonight, these late nights are catching up to me. I feel as though I am in slow motion this morning............:rotfl:

Andy,

Don't the child labor laws out there require her to be done by 10:00 on a school night? (or is it 9:00 or 11:00? - I can't remember).

Also, aren't they suppose to only work up to 3 or 4 hours on school nights as well?

Maybe it is the WI Wage and Hour Laws I'm thinking of.
