I know this might be sad to say, but we have been on three Eastern cruises, but we really didn't do much as far as excursions go. Our destination is the SHIP, moreso than the ports. We just like to get on the ship and RELAX!!!

This is the conclusion that I am coming to. I freakin' love that ship. Laura will be hard pressed to get me off of it next time. (except CC... That was awesome)

Yes. We will be getting that started right after the holidays. So much to do and only 22 months to get ready.

I put KK1 to bed. Put some final stat posts up.

I tried to find a smiley turning off a light, but I couldn't find it. If someone finds one, we should have Steve post it on the thread.

I just posted my goodbye to the old thread. I was suprised that I never had a milestone (although, I had never really tried) But was overall pleased with my post count. I turned it from sad to respectable.

Ok, Some of these quotes are from the 20th Oct thread - I didnt want to post on here cos I think its closed now

DU is giving $100 OBC for Cats 8-12 and $200 OBC for Cats 1-7.

Also, DCL is giving $50 OBC for Castaway Club members through I think the 10th of December.

Plus if you booked while on board, you got another $200 OBC plus 10% off.

Can I and if so should I hand my booking over to a travel agent in the US? What benefits will I get if any?

Another KKer reporting in for KK2 (although I know Rachel was already on here posting yesterday) Yahoo we are going and Al didn't even say anything about trying a different cruise line this time

Yikes this thread was started yesterday and there are already 19 pages, I guess this means that my house will be a disaster for another 2 years because I'll be spending too much time here and not enough time cleaning, oh well

I have only skimmed through here so far but it looks like we have some new comers Welcome to a great group! We even have a few more from WI and Andy is cruising with us too

I'll introduce our family to all the new cruisers: I am Cheryl and will be cruising with my DH Al and our DD Rachel who will be 15 at the time of the cruise. This will be our 6th Disney cruise out of those 6 this will be our second Eastern, we haven't done an Eastern since 2000 so I'll be researching these ports and shore excursions again.

Oh and I think Lurking Lynn and her DH Chris will be joining us again too!!!! I called her last night and let them know we rebooked to this cruise and I think they are going to do the same thing today. Now we just need to get Lynn out of Lurking status

We've gone on an Eastern Paul. On St Martin we did the Explorer cruise which took us to both the dutch and french side. We did a bus tour of the dutch side and then a cruise to the french. Rum punch, juice and soda was included in the little cruise. We did enjoy that excursion.

In St Thomas we did a little tour of the island with a local. Showed us many of the sights and had a few photo stops.

I agree with Jeff. This time it's Maho Beach. Another set of DISers (Perdidobay) did Maho last time and they had an amazing time. Wait until you see the YouTube from Jeff. Unfortunately, theirs was not a Disney excursion and I'd worry about missing the ship if something happened.

We spent the afternoon at Maho Bay in 2002. We rented a car and toured the island and made sure to be at Maho for the daily landing of the Air France 747. Unfortunately the 747 was 2 hours late and we had to leave to get back to the ship so we missed it but we did see 737's land and THAT was cool!

We hung out at the Sunset Beach Bar (they have awesome photos on their website http://www.sunsetbeachbar.com/) but beware that topless women drink free so you may see something you don't wanna

There's also a nice Casino nearby (I won $200 in 5 minutes! ) if your party likes to gamble.

More than likely that is where we will end up if we go cus I REALLY want that 747 pic that I missed!

Sounds like the beaches in Europe - only the old saggy personalities are on show

I know what you mean Steve. We aren't shore people, but for some reason, Castaway Cay calls us off the ship when we are docked there. Last August we were on one of the double dip cruises to Castaway Cay, that was heavenly!!!

We did get off the ship in Costa Maya for about and hour, but stayed on the ship when we arrived at Cozumel.

Ok, funny story, I gotta share ok Cheryl???

I checked online yesterday for my cabin 6134 on the dcl site. When you do this, it keeps that cabin out of the inventory for a few hours. In the time it took me to get a quote from Dreams, Cheryl booked her ressie and had asked for cabin 6634 but it wasn't available so she ended up with 6134 as it was NOW available. You know WHY 6634 wasn't available??? Because my TA booked it for us because 6134 was now UNAVAILABLE!!!!!!

So I got the cabin Cheryl wanted and Cheryl got the cabin I wanted

That is too funny...........

Oh yea, Good Morning All...........

Sorry, it was a long night. Left here after cleaning the sn*w off the car, got to the mall to pick DD up from work, only to find out that the district manager was coming to the store first thing this morning, so Angelina and the assistant manager had to get the store ready for the DM visit. I wound up sitting in the parking lot for over an hour, got home around 11:30 last night. I'm so glad Angelina has off tonight, these late nights are catching up to me. I feel as though I am in slow motion this morning............

Hi, Sean! So glad y'all decided to do KK2! Rob and I are going without the kids this time around. How are y'all doing? Is Olivia getting excited about Christmas?

I received an email from Linda--she is eyeball deep in getting her house back in order. They are having lots of "red tape" to go through. Seems she won't be in her house until March, at the earliest. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that somehow they find their way to doing KK2!

I got a grunt of approval last night at 10:15 right after Jason came home from work.

This will be our second Eastern cruise - our favorite itinerary due to the extra day at Sea and because we love St. Martin.
