Morning.
We have done the eastern twice also. We have done Trunk Bay and LOVED that excursion. We will probably be doing that one again. We also have done the island on our own and went to Coral World.
I can't wait to get back to those eastern islands. They are so much prettier than the western I think.

Is the trunk bay a disney excursion? How far is it from the ship - ie timewise?

Is that the georgous beach Jeff posted photos of? If so we'll be going there too!

Well Bobalosers I am back to drinking my lattes at Starbucks, non-fat sugar-free hazelnut latte......boy am I going to miss those pepermint mochas.:guilty:

Oooooh Becky, I'm also addicted! A Sugar-Free Gingerbread (1/2 pumps), Venti, Latte, with skim milk, decaf coffee no whip! How many WW points do you think those are? I guessed 3-4 compared to 6 for the regular syrup.:confused3 Then I also ask for 2 1/2 pumps rather than the 5. Chuck loves the peppermint mochas too. Our flavors last well into spring around here. After that, I'll switch to anything sugar free.

Wedding stuff:confused3 :confused3 - did your dd get engaged then onboard? I didnt hear? I had a card ready to send but didnt write it cos I didnt know he'd popped the question.

Mornin' sunshine! No, Kristin and Jesse did not get engaged, although Jeff was willing to give Jesse a little kick in the right direction while we were cruising. Tony and Stacy are getting married April 19th this year and they are involving me and Stacy's mom quite a bit now. Today it's veil, tiarra, shoe shopping. In a couple of weeks it's another wedding show.

We started planning Stacy's shower yesterday too. Anyone have any great ideas for games? (I, myself, hate playing shower games  ).

Good Sunday Morning Crew.........

Did you all (y'all) know that you can get a serious shock when licking the computer screen? Thanks Andy!

Sounds good!

I've been taking coffee from home to work....but I might have to try that! DH got a Starbucks gift card for Christmas, but he never goes there.

Jen, you don't know what you're missing. Those latte's are to die for.:cloud9: Rachel can also contribute to the "Starbucks-Must Try" list. She's a real fan of the joint too.:cheer2:

Gotta go...off to starbucks!

Sheri, FYI...this thread was nicknamed "Bash on the Boat" (thanks Brenda) and then shortened to B.O.B. (I believe I did that). Then Heather (from England) came up with the slogan "I'm with B.O.B.". I stole an image from another thread for our siggie lines, and Rachel (Cheryl's daughter) tweeked it to be the perfect logo. Feel free to copy it into your siggie line if you want.
(Jeff, can you post a link to it in your introduction post on page one plz?)

Then, I'll also explain the FO's you'll see. FO=Fresh One (Chris from England, AFEG came up with that game). If you have the first post on a fresh page, you must claim it immediately on the second post of the same page. If someone else get's the second post instead of you, you've been "BOBbed". :rotfl2: Be careful, there are some "Master BOBbers" out there.:rotfl2: It's just a little game we play.

Anyway, enjoy your new home away from home with us.:cutie:

Jeff it looks like Dreams extended the cutoff date for the double shipboard credit off so you could still get the $100 if you transfer to them by Jan. 31 http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/cruise/specials.htm#sbc

Sorry Nancy, I'm not getting the Dreams $200. If I do xfer it out, I will only get $50 ($100 if I would have done it before 12/31). The Cat 8-12 only get the lower OBC. It's those uppity people in the Cats 4-7 that get the larger credit. :rotfl:

Hope Mike gets feeling better quickly :wizard: pixiedust:
  for both of you

What's been going on?
I saw a post about a group rate...
I guess I have some catching up to do.

I wasn't even on here yesterday.
We spent part of the day in the emergency room yesterday.

Mike has been painting his parent's ceiling while they are in Fla. He came home Thurs. saying he was a little dizzy. I said, "Then you better not go over there tomorrow until you feel better"

Of course, he went anyway... I called him from work and he said he was done, but felt really dizzy and had some shortness of breath. (He had been laying on the floor as the room spinned.) He said he was going to drive home. I said, "You can't drive when you're dizzy." After a while, it didn't get any better, so I left work and picked him up, then took him to the emergency room.

After a few tests...
They said he has vertigo caused by a virus. The shortness of breath is due to his pacemaker. (needs tweeked)

So he was tossing his cookies most of the night. :sad1:
The nausea is gone now, but the dizziness hasn't gotten any better.

They said it would take a couple of days before it goes away.

Hi Sheri welcome to you and your family :welcome:

I will be cruising with my DH Al and our DD Rachel who will be 15 at cruise time. We are another one of the families from WI. This will be our 6th DCL cruise, 2nd eastern.

This is a great group!

Rachel has started a kids thread for this cruise. In case Dakota or Austin would want to check it out here's the link to that thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1654978

Hello all!

I just switched our reservation to your cruise date! It will be our 3rd DCL vacation (we disembarked from the Magic one year ago today :sad2: ) and although it will be a longer wait, we are all excited to be joining in your fun! ;)

I'm Sheri-Kindergarten teacher, mom to sons Dakota and Austin (17 and 15 at the time we sail), and wife to Pat, a sergeant with our local Sheriff's office.

We live in Northern Nevada and are in the midst of a great snow storm!

I recognize some of your Dis-names and am looking forward to getting to know you! On our last Eastern it was really fun to recognize people from the Disboards that I'd been chatting with for months!

I said hello last Sheri, but didn't give you the low down on us.........

At this point in time, it will just be my DW Hazel and myself on this cruise. We will be celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary on 10/24/09, and there's no better way to celebrate than on a Disney Cruise with great people!!! :cloud9:

We're from New Jersey, we usually travel during Jersey Week(early November), but since our DD will be graduating from high school this June, we have more freedom in selecting travel times!!! :thumbsup2

Lori, do you do the excursion through DCL or on your own. I'd rather do it on my own, but with having to travel by boat to get there, I'm concerned about getting back in time. We may opt to go with DCL, pay a little more and stay a little less just for the piece of mind.

Yes, that would be the one. From the Cruise Ship dock it will be about 45 minutes by boat.

Here is the picture you're thinking of:

Nancy, I don't know the link to the siggie pic. I someone posts it, I will copy it to the first post.

And whom do you speak of that is a Master BOBber? :rolleyes1 Maybe we should just call them B00Bers. :rotfl2:

Silly me looked at their site on Friday and was looking at the 2008 OBC's thinking they dropped it. Now that I look again, 2009 is still $100 for a SPH. I will probably switch it in the next couple of weeks. How many does that bring us up to now with Dreams?

Hey Becky

Your Starbucks should still be able to make your peppermint mochas. We have a Starbucks and work and we get all the inside tricks. Just because it is no longer advertised does not mean that they can not make it. They carry the supplies year round. So all you should have to do is ask and they should be able to make it. They just don't like people knowing that.

Welcome Sheri. :)

My name is Robin and my dh, Mike, logs in as dyerneeds (underdog). (He's sick right now, but I'm sure he'll be on to welcome you when he feels better) We tend to joke around a lot, so don't take anything we say too seriously. :rotfl2:

This will be our 5th DCL cruise. We have 2 grown children, a dd, now 20 and living 5 hours from us and a ds, now 30, who has a 16 month old daughter. Our daughter-in-law is also a kindergarten teacher.

Welcome to the thread. Trust me, you'll have a blast. :thumbsup2:goodvibes
Any questions... just ask. You'll get a lot of input from some great people.

I'm glad I never got hooked on that stuff. Their hot chocolate is pretty good though. ;)

Good Sunday Morning Crew.........

Hello Sheri

My name is Carrie, DH -Scott, DD-Kelsey, DS - Kyle, DD - Mackenzie. Unfortunatly we are not cruising with the gang this time around. We went on the one in Oct. and loved it and really want to go on BOB but at this point in time we can not make it work. This is a great group of people.

We have done the eastern twice also. We have done Trunk Bay and LOVED that excursion. We will probably be doing that one again. We also have done the island on our own and went to Coral World.
I can't wait to get back to those eastern islands. They are so much prettier than the western I think.

I totally agree - the Eastern islands are prettier and for some reason just feel more tropical to me. Jay and I loved St. Martin and thought St. Thomas was lovely, once we were able to get away from the pier.

We did the 12-Metre Regatta in St. Martin and it was a blast! The guys who lead the excurision are really cute and they'll put you to work on the yacht, too.

In St. Thomas we did a kayak tour through the mangroves - it was lovely and relaxing even though we ended up kayaking for something like 2 miles.

I'm not sure what we're going to do this time - I think we're going to head over to the French side of St. Martin since we didn't get over there on the last cruise. And of course on our way back we're going to buy out the Guavaberry Emporium, so consider yourselves warned! ;)

We may try for a St. John's excursion this time when the ship is docked in St. Thomas - Jay likes to snorkel and I've heard the water is just incredible over there since the island is national park.

The threadkiller strikes again! :rotfl2:

It is already 60+ degrees here in the armpit of the midwest. Jay and I are going out for a walk ... ha ha dreadmill!!

Have a good day everyone! :goodvibes

They still make them, but the chocolate and the fact there isn't a sugar free peppermint syrup makes them a no no right now. I may splurge now and then and get a tall one. Oh and by the way in the summer a peppermint mocha frappuchino, yummy! Like liquid girl scout thin mint cookies.:cloud9:

Did you all (y'all) know that you can get a serious shock when licking the computer screen? Thanks Andy!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

 Jeff--Shouldn't you be able to right click your mouse over the picture then select properties and save it? That's what I just did with the pic below.

Just close the space gaps around the img and /img and that should do it, correct?

I went all the way back to page 203 to find the Pomegranite juice posts but couldn't find anything. I love POM!! I did buy the straight juice last week for almost $6.00 and wanted to read someone's hints on diluting it with H20.

Cheryl? Becky? I think it was one of you. Help Plz?:)
