DI and I are very excited about our DGD Asiah (7)..

She has just competed and qualified for 800 Meter and 4x100 Meter Relay Team (primary category) representing South Texas in July in Detroit Michigan.

Very Proud of her..

DH here...

Everyone else is doing OK. Summer time boredom sinking in. It is to dang hot (108-115) to do to much.

One thing to do while she is gone, feed the dog!

the dawg got all stocked up on food for her impending trip.
then today she finds out she wont be going to texas after all.
i'm happy about it but cinnamon is very disappointed.
not sure what we'll do with all this food.

Dad is doing better - he is in Intensive Care at the moment. He takes a lot of drugs for different things...but he takes digoxin for a heart condition. He has ended up with digoxin poisoning and had 4 x the recommended dose in his blood and he was only taking the recommended level.

so...another 10 days of drama and rumors.

You got that right, Cinnamike! Rob went to take a long nap around 6:30pm to wake up atmidnight and get on the road. At 9:45 he was up and said he couldn't sleep........It's 3:10 am and we're in NC, about 75 miles from the SC border. Only about 3 hours until the sun comes up.

Ok, Karen, here is another Cajunism for you.....Let's say you and I are going to the local convenience store on Friday night to buy lottery tickets. When we get there, I ask you, "Are you getting down?" That means, "Are you getting out of the car and coming inside with me?" The first time my sister said this to her husband, a Wisconsinite, he looked at her like she had two heads.
