:cool1: living room is picked up, dusted, and vaced. Now it is time to balance the check book:(

Kelsey left me to go to the basketball court with a girl friend.

Now if the laundry would get done that would put off the bank account stuff.

I'm signing off early tonight, see ya tomorrow........:wave2:

Just booked this cruise and would like to join in with the group. I've been reading and learning so much these past few months while deciding whether to take the leap. Since I decided to go for it and book a cruise s i x t e e n long months away, I thought it would be nice to start getting to know some of the people who will be on the ship with me. I will be alone on this cruise (unless of course something changes between now and then) and while I don't mind being alone it would be really nice to have someone I already know on the ship. I have never done any type of forum before so if I do or say something I shouldn't please let me know. I will continue to watch this forum with much interest.

Welcome aboard
:welcome: :jumping1:

:cool1: We are getting our AZ rain. The ground is just barely wet. The drops are very large. Of coures it is sunny out, but there is wind. It will be interesting to see if the rain continues.

Of course Kelsey is still out at the basketball court.

Wait it is coming down pretty hard now.

Poor girl. Asked if she could go hand with her girl friend. I said yes so she went and put her make up on and then left in a white shirt and jeans.

Well we just lost our patio furniture. Blew it right off the porch.

Here's a picture of the levy near I-370 that popped yesterday ... it's from a local news station.

Elm Point Levy St. Charles, MO

:( :( :(   As they say...a picture is worth a thousand words.

That's how we were pre-kids! Now the kids are bigger, but Sarah still seems to tire out quickly if we have to walk too far from the bus!

Our last trip we were not near the HH. We had to take the bus to get there...quite a drag! I'm hoping we'll be able to get a Grand Villa near the HH for our trip in November.

Yep, my kids are 15, 12, and 8, so they just "suck it up" and walk. I am hoping we don't have to take a bus to HH, though. It'll be our first time in a DVC resort, and I hope we have a good first impression.

Hi Sistah P!

I had to drive home 370 tonight and saw all of the flooding up close (well, as close as you can get while driving 80 mph and gawking at the scenery) and there has to be about 10 feet of water out there, easily.

There's a soccer park that's totally under water and the only portion of the concession stand that's showing is the roof - the river is up to the eaves on that building.

It's just amazing. I'm very grateful that we live in an area of St. Charles that isn't impacted directly by the levy system. But we were very careful about that when we decided to build out here anyway. No point in having it wash away.

It's so sad, Brenda. And it doesn't end any time soon. The massive cleanup after the flooding subsides will not be fun. Watch out for mold......and mosquitoes.

Ok, I know y'all are probably tired of my questions, but please bear with me. For our trip next month, we will be on the DDP for most of it, but for a few days we are out of pocket. We will probably only eat one meal in the parks/resorts and it'll probably be CS. Do any of you have opinions as to the most reasonably priced CS restaurants? Rob, the kids, and I are fine eating hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, etc......I am just trying to save a few bucks on these few days.

Well, I think that's it for me. Thansk again for any advice concerning CS restaurants....Have a good night all.:goodvibes

Never tired of your questions, lady!

Columbia Harbor House in the MK is pretty good ... they have fish and chips, chicken strips, and one of the few remaining tuna sandwiches on property (and it's a good one, too!).

Casey's is always a must for us at MK, too .... I loves me a big fat mustardy hot dog. :thumbsup2

ESPN Club isn't too bad price-wise ... that's over at the Boardwalk.

We've not eaten CS at too many places ... we're pigs! :lmao:

Hey, don't forget to flash your DVC card ... some restuarants will give you a 10% discount at lunch and a 20% discount at dinner. If you go to the DVC website and look at the member perks section under WDW it will list a bunch of places that offer a DVC discount.

Some places at Downtown Disney also offer a AAA discount - House of Blues does for sure because we've used it before.

And as for the flood waters ... the mosquitos are terrible this year. Why, just a few minutes ago the doorbell rang and I answered it thinking that my pizza had arrived and instead it was a giant blood sucker looking for a pull on the "sweetest gal on the street." :scared1:

I told him he had the wrong house. :rotfl2:

If you are looking for burgers, Peco Bills by Splash Mountain. They have a full topping bar and the burgers are good.

I can't remember the name, maybe Cosmic Rays, but it is across from the indy car ride. They have several different stations, one being burgers, plus a lot of other foods.

In AK, I like Flame Tree.

In Epcot, it would be the Fish place in the UK. You can get the fish without the fries if you want to save $. Actually, you can get any meal without fries in all of WDW and save about $1.75 or so.

Only have eaten twice in the Studios. Once was at a place going down the street towards Tower of Terror (had a good sandwich) and the other was the ABC Commissary (nothing to write home about).

We liked Columbia House the couple of times we went there. We sat in the part that is over the walk way from Liberty Square to Fantasyland. Great for people watching. I liked the fact they had clam chowder.

And for Casey's, definite. We usually do this one while we're waiting for the parade. We plop ourselves down right on the curb outside the restaurant. The smell makes you hungry, so soon you find yourself with a hotdog.

You should be pleased! OKW is the original. The units are bigger than the newer DVC sites. It is still my favorite, even though Matthew is partial to the Beach Club Villas. We now have points out of both, but OKW will always feel like "home" to me!:)

This is it for me tonight. I am going to go zone out watching 3 hours of tv. Have a good night.

Well, looks like I missed chatting with everyone, but I'll stop by and say good morning/afternoon anyway.... :goodvibes

Thomas had a blast at the pool yesterday, but came home with a sunburn. He's definitely cursed with his mother's fair skin :sad2:

Which brings me to a question....I think I've seen or heard of shirts that you can wear swimming that protect against the sun....can anyone help me out on what they're called so I can do some online shopping?

DS has another field trip today - to the Milwaukee Zoo....another fun day!

I need a vacation too...only 23 days until Door County trip!

Hi Jen--

I got some rash guards for my two boys last year from Land's End--I also saw some at Toys R' Us this spring with Lightening McQueen on them! Have a great time in Door County--check a winery or two, o.k.? :thumbsup2
