The week is just getting better for Lina/and us. It appears as though she has lost both her upper and lower retainers when she spent the night at her friend's house the other night. She just happened to mention it last night when she was supposed to put them in and said she didn't know where they were.

I already paid for two sets of retainers and I told her if she loses them again, she will be paying for them. If the retainers aren't found within the next few days, guess who is going to be using most of the $$ she receives as graduation gifts. The last set of retainers cost $500 and that was several years ago.

I was just reading our local newspaper and saw the town next to us is having their annual 4th of July Parade on Saturday June 28th starting at noon. The hall, where we are having Lina's party, is on the parade's route, right in the middle of town. We had planned to get to the hall at noon next Saturday to decorate, we won't be able to get near the hall until later now. It's a good thing the party doesn't start until 6pm. I'm so glad we changed the time, we were going to have the party from 2p-6p, but changed it to 6p-10p.

It also appears we have more people coming to the party than we had planned for, so now Hazel and I have to head back to the party store today for more supplies.

Deep breaths, I need to take deep breaths, I'm really starting to get stressed out over this.

So I must ask. Why are they having their 4th of July parade in June? Is that normal for that town.
pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: to you. It will all get better soon.

Well, I've jsut spent 5 hours going through Ellis' room:scared1: - we have 6 binbags full of stuff he doesnt play with. :scared1: - and his room is still bursting at the seams:rolleyes1 - I blame the parents for buying him too much:rolleyes1

And he lets you get rid of it? I have to sneak things out one at a time from DS. He still loves it! Unless of course he gets to give it to his wonderful cousin Harrison. DS was willing to give away most of his Buzz Stuff:( to Harrison.::yes::

Yes, the town is a bit strange if you ask me. They do this every year, back in January/February when we were making the arrangements for Lina's party, that didn't even enter our minds. We had to change the date for the party a couple of times because the dates we were selecting didn't work well with other family gatherings that were also taking place around this time period. That's another whole bone of contention going on in both sides of our families.

We should have just taken Lina on a cruise and forgot the party idea all together. That's what we did for her Sweet 16th, she selected a 7 day cruise over a party.

Good morning everyone

The hey fire is still burning. According to our local news the FD plans on letting it burn through the weekend. Also stating that any one with breathing issues needs to stay in their homes. Excuss me the smoke is so thick and strong that staying in doors does not help much at all.

I have kicked of my cooking day. I made banana nut muffins for breakfast. Funny Scott even stayed up long enough to have one this morning. But now that leaves me 4 hours before he gets up again. So I have some cooking I need to get done today.

So I did some job looking on Friday night. I looked at two different job sites and kick myself in the butt. All that was on both of them was medical, call centers and car sales. Well I used to work at a dealership, kick number one. And then I was in nursing school for a year, kick number two. I gave up school for Scott and the kids. Honestly I probably would not have stayed in medical for long it was not very appealing to me at that time in my life.

I also checked for city jobs in Mesa, AJ, and Gilbert. Mesa was hiring but for nights, can not do that one when Scott works nights. AJ and Gilbert both have nothing open.

I told Scott that I would keep my eyes and ears open for anything better then what I have now. So we will see.

We have a polar ice den that is being built not to far from us. Mac has always wanted to take ice skating lessons but the other rinks are way to far away. So since she found out this one is being built she is counting down the time. So I just contacted them for class information, and employment information. There is a chance that they might pay more then Target and I could get her into classes. Keep our fingers crossed on that one.

Ok so now that I have taken myself down to 3 1/2 hours before he gets up I better start cooking.

Carrie,
Have you checked with you local school district? I started out by subbing for clerical, and within a year I had a full time job, 3 years later I became a head secretary. Depending on your availability you could work a lot during the school year. The pay isn't bad, although I deserve to be paid a heck of a lot more if you ask me:rotfl2: . It is a job that can be very very frustrating at times, and very very rewarding at others.

Hazel just called after leaving KMart (with more soda for the party) and said she saw gas at $3.86 a gallon, I told her to stop and fill the car up. The lowest I saw gas yesterday was $3.95 a gallon. She said we still had a half a tank, I told her, for that price, top off the tank!!! :thumbsup2

Ok girls...

Remember that exotic dance class (strip class) I was telling you about? It started and I went Friday evening. My hamstrings (from forward lunges) are so sore and I have brush burns on both of my knees. :lmao: :lmao:

I showed them to Mike and he said, "What were you doing"? :rotfl:

There was about 20 of us in a large room. We had the doors closed so the guys couldn't see us. Although one of the guys that work there kept finding excuses to come in. ;) (until the instructor yelled at him to get out) :rotfl2:

It was a lot of fun and a great workout. :woohoo:

The next one is in a 2 wks. I'm there! :dance3:

Good luck finding that perfect job Carrie. :thumbsup2

We all sacrifice for our families. I kept a job for 15 years just because the hours fit the kid's schedules. Then I went to school in the evening. :faint:

I'm not sorry I did it because I was there for my kids and it paid off. They turned out to be fine adults. :cloud9:

3.86!!!!! We paid 4.48 yesterday, and that was the cheapest we could find at Costco.
