To top it off, I was sitting here reading the DIS instead of paying attention to Ernie. I turned to see Ernie drinking Amelia's chocolate milk!!! The boy has NEVER had milk letalone CHOCOLATE milk. He turned to me saying, "Mmm MMmmmmMmmmmMmmm!"

I love cupcakes and muffins. I make them for almost any occasion I have the time! I've been trying to perfect a peanut butter cupcake with a mini reese cup in the center! The taste is right; the presentation is off.

Yummy! Would you be willing to share your recipe? That's DH's fave candy - Reese's....

Good morning/afternoon all....

Just catcing up quick while I have a load of laundry in....

Carrie - I know how hard it is to struggle with finances. Pete and I are working on paying off stuff too - long story. Anyway, good for you for sticking to it, and I hope your house cleaning on the side works out well. I'd have you come to my house if I could afford the airfare!

Andy - for Lina, hope everything works out for the best.

Heather - LOVE the pics...that's one lucky Planky, and Bendy!

Mel - I don't think chocolate milk is grounds for the Bad Mommy award...but if it makes you fell any better, we had company last night, and the kids were all so busy playing the adults were so busy chatting that when I looked at a clock it was an hour past Thomas's bedtime! Stuff happens

I love to bake!

I do too...in fact, I have to bake a cake this morning for a family gathering. I'm going to cheat though and make a diet soda cake.

What's a diet soda cake? It's something I heard about at Weight Watchers to cut down on calories and fat in cake.

Mix a boxed cake mix, 12 oz (1 can basically) of diet soda, and 2 egg whites (helps the cake rise). Don't put in any of the stuff listed on the box.

Bake according to the package directions and frost with light cool whip - you've got a cake that's lower in calories and fat, and no one can tell the difference.

The week is just getting better for Lina/and us. It appears as though she has lost both her upper and lower retainers when she spent the night at her friend's house the other night. She just happened to mention it last night when she was supposed to put them in and said she didn't know where they were.

I already paid for two sets of retainers and I told her if she loses them again, she will be paying for them. If the retainers aren't found within the next few days, guess who is going to be using most of the $$ she receives as graduation gifts. The last set of retainers cost $500 and that was several years ago.

I was just reading our local newspaper and saw the town next to us is having their annual 4th of July Parade on Saturday June 28th starting at noon. The hall, where we are having Lina's party, is on the parade's route, right in the middle of town. We had planned to get to the hall at noon next Saturday to decorate, we won't be able to get near the hall until later now. It's a good thing the party doesn't start until 6pm. I'm so glad we changed the time, we were going to have the party from 2p-6p, but changed it to 6p-10p.

It also appears we have more people coming to the party than we had planned for, so now Hazel and I have to head back to the party store today for more supplies.

Deep breaths, I need to take deep breaths, I'm really starting to get stressed out over this.

Well, I've jsut spent 5 hours going through Ellis' room - we have 6 binbags full of stuff he doesnt play with. - and his room is still bursting at the seams - I blame the parents for buying him too much

No so down South, Karen. It's sunny, but very windy. But it's early days, we could gt rain later.

Its windy here now and sunny at times/grey at others. Now we've finished the room we're going to fly kites in the park

went to the wedding recetion last nite. it was outside in a tent. tropical theme. it rained soooo hard. and hailed. (they wanted the tropics. they got it) it was the deluge.
we are sitting in the tent and robin says to me,"check out that guys shirt"
it was the jessica rabbit shirt i wore on the kk cruise!!!!
robin wouldnt let me wear mine. i had to dress up a little.
i had to compliment the guy on his shirt though.
(robin said the shirt looks better on me. )

i dont get dressed up that often, so for the reception last nite i got out a pair of my dress shoes and stuffed inside them were the socks i wore for the kk cruise in oct.
i was cracking up. (they still smelled like the magic.)

Just got back from CVS, Walgreens and KMart. Each store was having a sale on soda with a limited amount to be purchased, so I got my limit at each store. Still need some more soda, Hazel will be making a stop or two on her way home from church. The party good store is out of the plates to match what we had already bought, so we are just going to get some solid green color plates to have "IF" we need them.

Now that we know roughly how many people to plan for, it's time to get the food ordered. We have a deli near us called "The Meat Stop" we are just going to get lunchmeat and cheese trays made up, that will also include potato and mac salads, and all the rolls we will need.

If you haven't noticed, we don't give parties very often. I will be so happy when next Sunday is here and I can relax again.......
