10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with BOB) - Thread #8

We actually had a special cast member on our first cruise. Sarah gets migraines from not eating. The second night there, she had one at dinner (and threw up... necessitating a trip to medical in the morning for clearance, I might add!) Our waiter the next night asked about her. After telling him about it, he suggested that he have something ready for her to eat. SO, he brought watermelon ... usually from another kitchen... for her as soon as he could after we were seated. He also did "magic" tricks for the kids (simple science things, but they were impressive!). Sarah really liked him. She still talks about the watermelon. She told us (and him!) that if she were older (she was 7), they could get married!

Again, as I said... too many for me to choose one special memory!

Captain Thord follows the DISboards and he happened to find out that Hazel and I were on that sailing celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary. When we arrived back to our cabin after spending the day at CC there was a message on our phone with a special invitation to meet Captain Thord on the bridge as we sailed away later that afternoon. It came as a shock and complete surprise to both of us, and we never expected to be able to blow the horn as we sailed away. It was a MAGICal moment to be sure!!!

What a great way to celebrate those 30 magical years!

Seriously, this is so stressful...I'm not good with change.

I think I should proceed with taking the new job. I just can't imagine HR here doing something for me. They haven't done it up to this point so why would they now?

You know, you could have just faked it and make a long drawn out process that you were doing on those and took the whole year to do them. We'd never know. It would build up anticipation for receiving them.

I don't even want to think about my baby growing up!

Australia and New Zealand will be fine...think of it this way - I spent 11 months in Colombia (much rougher place) and I was fine!

You need to see the doctor Becky, Heather, Chris and I saw. He prescribed a little over 2 weeks of R&R on a cruise for us.

Does your health insurance pay for it?

Okay, now that we have moved and have lots of posts available I'm asking another quizzy question:

As I read this quickly Andy..the first word 'Tooting' caight my eye as I was brought up in a town in London called Tooting!

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! We could use some extra sent this way to get through the Graduation Ceremony tomorrow night without any family arguments taking place. I have already threatened if any trouble starts the police "WILL" be called. I need this like I need a whole in the head. Luckily, Lina knows "NOTHING" about what is going on behind the scenes. But, my stomach is in a ball of knots.

One of my favorite memories involved my DD, Emily. She missed her high school's homecoming for the cruise. She actually took it like a champ, although she was very disappointed. That was hard for me, because I knew she was upset, but she wanted to stay upbeat and not ruin the cruise. Well one night, we get back to our room to find an ingraved invitation to "homecoming" in the teen club. She even had to wear her formal dress! I know it still wasn't the same as her own homecoming at Quantico High, but she had a great time getting ready and going to the dance. It wa so nice to see her excited about it, too.
