And "hopefully" the AC is getting repaired in my work car today as well.......:rolleyes1

well, i was offered a job teaching full time for a well known online university (I have been teaching for them part time for two years now)!!! I've applied for this job several times and never made it past the written interview stage until last month!

I have had two phone interview in the last three weeks, my references were contacted on Friday and yesterday morning. Then late afternoon yesterday I was called an offered the position!

I'm so excited! The biggest reason for looking for a telecommuting job is so that I could be involved in my kids lives more during the day. For the last three years I've worked all day, come home to the kids but only have been able to be involved in dinner and bedtime. I missed them so much!

So this is a step up in my career and I'll be at home! I'll have to travel to Arizona (expenses paid) every July for graduation, but it really sounds like a great job! I start July 1st.

My boss is leaving for a conference today so I had to call him at home last night and tell him. That was NOT easy at all! He's such a great guy and has been so flexible and understanding with me since I had Amelia three years ago. Great person overall it is going to be sad to leave him and King's. They're like second family to me. I love that college.

SO after speakign with him and telling him it is mainly me wanting to be with the kids more that fueled my looking elsewhere (King's doesn't have a flex time policy) rather than the job, the pay or the people he wants to try and work something out with HR. He thinks if I'm willing, that he is going to push to get them to develop a flex time policy so I can stay. He doesn't want me to go.

So now I'm confused!!!

You're sitting the the catbird's seat, girl! Sorry you're a little confused...how flattering for you, though!

Guess what everyone?

 I'M OFFICIALLY DONE WITH MY DISTAG GIFTS FOR NEXT YEAR!!!

(Now I'm working on the Trick or Treat stuff for our little BOBers)

Show off!!!;) ;)

Wow! - looks like a lot of us are tired today:confused3

I think we should all visit our doctors who will then prescribe us all a weeks R&R on a disney cruise;)

You need to see the doctor Becky, Heather, Chris and I saw. He prescribed a little over 2 weeks of R&R on a cruise for us. :cool1:

You know, you could have just faked it and make a long drawn out process that you were doing on those and took the whole year to do them. We'd never know. It would build up anticipation for receiving them. ;)

I need to make an appt to see that doc right away!!! :lmao:

Remember my nail varnish that changes colour in the sun I bought on the last cruise from Key West? - I put it on my toes and fingers today:goodvibes

Its sunny here (on and off) so my feet and hands keep changing colour:goodvibes

You're suppose to put in on the nails, not your whole hand or foot.

BTW, if you just wrap a rubberband around your finger or toes you could change the color by changing how tight you have it. That is free. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Congrats and good luck with your decision Melody.

BTW, any promises the current employer makes, make sure you get them in writing. They can always override their policy as part of a contract with you, but make sure you have proof of your offer. :thumbsup2

O.K., looks like everyone left, so I'll just take the hint and leave myself.

Sorry I missed the posting party earlier.

:lmao:

You keep going to the wrong doctor Andy. I said to go to the one down by the old money tree, not the old oak tree. ;)

There's the problem, all we have around here are Oak Trees..........:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hazel and I ran to the store to get some milk (for us) and snacks for Project Graduation tonight, seems like a lot of the underclassmen's parents did want to be bothered in supplying treats for tonight. This makes the 4th year in a row that we have supplied snacks, we were always under the impression the underclassmen's parents provided the snacks for Project Graduation. The head of the PTO sent out a distress e-mail this morning saying more snacks and food were needed for tonight, so off to the store we went.

That is great that you got the job. If you don't mind me asking which college is it. We live in AZ. Sometime when you are out if you have time would could do a mini meet.
::yes:: University of Phoenix
They wanted me to come out for graduation next month but that isn't going to work out. Hopefully sometime later this year, though.

I missed your question.

I would have to say the most magical memory was the fact that within 2 hours of getting on the ship my daughter makes friends with the DJ (Brent). He really took the time to get to know her. During the sail away he would dance with her and finally got us up on the stage to dance. He learned that she really liked Kiss the girl from Arial so everytime he saw her walk into an area he played the song for her. During the adult time at night when I would see him I was known as Mackenzie's mommy. Mackenzie was tickeled to death everytime he would play her song or say hi to her on the mic.

We actually had a special cast member on our first cruise. Sarah gets migraines from not eating. The second night there, she had one at dinner (and threw up... necessitating a trip to medical in the morning for clearance, I might add!) Our waiter the next night asked about her. After telling him about it, he suggested that he have something ready for her to eat. SO, he brought watermelon ... usually from another kitchen... for her as soon as he could after we were seated. He also did "magic" tricks for the kids (simple science things, but they were impressive!). Sarah really liked him. She still talks about the watermelon. She told us (and him!) that if she were older (she was 7), they could get married!

Again, as I said... too many for me to choose one special memory!
