Good morning everyone!
Ernie had me up at 4am again this morning but now the little bugger is back to sleep while I have to get up for work!:headache:

On a sad note, a friend EB grew up with was murdered by his stepfather last night. EB woke me up before midnight to tell me the news.
Here's the story.

We visit his restaurant near our house on a regular basis...were just there for ice cream last week.
It's a tragedy. :( EB and I are pretty upset....EB moreso than me, obviously. I only knew him from the restaurant.

He has a lot of fond memories of Kevin and his brother growing up here in the Back Mountain. They'd get in so much trouble together.
Please pray for his family.

Oh my Mel, this is soooo sad. to you, yours, and Kevins. It wasn't Kevin's wedding this weekend was it?

Good Luck this weeknd Andy!!

And since I won't be DISing much today and tomorrow, to my good friend Lori.......

party: Happy Birthday (June 14th) to Lori!!party:

Well, first things first, we need to get through Lina's graduation, then we will start looking at dates for a trip "Home!!!" Hoping to sneak in a short stay at OKW the end of August or early September if anything is available.

I almost booked Hazel and I on that 3 day sailing of the Magic on 9/24, but Lina starts Massage Therapy School on 9/15 and since she doesn't have her license, mom will have to be here to take Lina back and forth from school. The school is 20 minutes from our house.

If you make it very early September Andy...we could meet up.:yay: :yay:

We have Lina's Convoaction tonight!!! We put some graduation decorations up yesterday while she was at practice and she was so touched when she got home, she had a smile from ear to ear. Today Hazel is going to the party store to pick up a few balloons that we are going to put up on the front of the house before Lina gets home from Convocation practice.

OK...what's convocation?

OK...what's convocation?

It's more on the line of a religious type of ceremony, at least it was when Hazel and I graduated from high school. Of course, that was 35 and 36 years ago.............

Also, back then the ceremony was called Baccalaureate.

 for Mel and EB and Prayers to Kevins family.

Love all the BOBer kids pictures! They are too cute.

Happy Friday Everyone! :yay:

I have spent nearly 4 hours clearing off a bookshelf:rolleyes1

Well, first I found about 30 packets of photos that never made it into albums, so I had to stop and look at all those:rolleyes1 , then I found the box with all our cruise momentos in like navigators etc, so I had to look through those:rolleyes1 , then I found the cruise album, so I had to look through that:rolleyes1 , then I found an old video of miracle on 34th street, so I had to sit and watch that:rolleyes1

What should have taken me 30 minutes has eaten up most of the day:lmao:

It's still called Baccalaureate here, but it is optional for the students because it is religious.

Well done to your DD... totally off subject, but she has georgous hair::yes::

He's a handsome young man (even with his tongue sticking out):goodvibes
How old will he be when we cruise? He'll probably be in the same club as Ellis and Jeffs ds? They had lots of fun together last time.

Thanks!

DS will be 9. We will have a few 9 year olds. He makes friends easily (more so than DD). They will have lots of fun!

We let Lina spend the night at one of her classmates house last night, I have to call her at 6am just to make sure she is up and getting ready. The Seniors still have to report to school at their regular time today, then on Monday and Tuesday, they get to arrive one hour later for the Graduation Ceremony practice.

Good morning Andy

I am confused What is a convocation compaired to a graduation. I notice you talk about them both and they seem to be different days. At first I was thinking it was the graduation until you mentioned it.

Thank you for the explination sorry I did not read before I asked. Scott said that his school had a baccalaureate when he graduated 19 years ago.

The Convocation and the Graduation Ceremony are both optional here, but the kids are encouraged to attend both ceremonies.

I know "Back in the Day" we had several kids from my graduating class not attend the Baccalaureate, but they did attend the Graduation.

YIKES!!!:scared1:
i saw on the news that a cabin some lady in WI was staying in was caught in a tornado and lifted it off the ground. it ended up landing on some redheaded lady with large personalities.!!:scared1: :scared1: say it aint so bigred???:lovestruc  :( :( :(

Not to worry gang.;) I'm fine.::yes:: :dance3: :dance3:
Nancy's cabin did get caught in the twister but ended up landing on my twin sister. We called her BigBrunette. Sorry to say she didnt make it.:furious:

Hope everyone is well.
Andy - hope Lina enjoys her graduation today, and you and Hazel make it through the day without crying too much.

A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LORI FOR TOMORROW. Have a great day, read that you are going home for the weekend, have a super time. :cake: :cake:
Tanya - that was a lovely picture of Claire, she looks soo pretty. Olivia enjoyed seeing a picture of her as they chat quite a bit on the kids board.

The weather seems to have gone crazy over there. Glad everyone is safe.
The pictures were soo scary, bet thats put you off camping again Nancy.
Toodles for now:duck:

Lina just put on her cap and gown for us, needless to say, we had misty-eyes, but they were "happy" misty-eyes.........:goodvibes
