We have Lina's Convoaction tonight!!! We put some graduation decorations up yesterday while she was at practice and she was so touched when she got home, she had a smile from ear to ear. Today Hazel is going to the party store to pick up a few balloons that we are going to put up on the front of the house before Lina gets home from Convocation practice.

We have Lina's Convoaction tonight!!! We put some graduation decorations up yesterday while she was at practice and she was so touched when she got home, she had a smile from ear to ear. We let Lina spend the night at one of her classmates house last night, I have to call her at 6am just to make sure she is up and getting ready. The Seniors still have to report to school at their regular time today, then on Monday and Tuesday, they get to arrive one hour later for the Graduation Ceremony practice.

I wondered if that was today. Have a great time! Get lots of pics to share with us. I bet she is sooooo excited.

Yep, she is excited, but has been quite emotional as well. The thought of graduation is beginning to scare her a bit. Leaving the comfort zone and heading out into the big bad world.

Ernie had me up at 4am again this morning but now the little bugger is back to sleep while I have to get up for work!

On a sad note, a friend EB grew up with was murdered by his stepfather last night. EB woke me up before midnight to tell me the news.
Here's the story.

We visit his restaurant near our house on a regular basis...were just there for ice cream last week.
It's a tragedy. EB and I are pretty upset....EB moreso than me, obviously. I only knew him from the restaurant.

He has a lot of fond memories of Kevin and his brother growing up here in the Back Mountain. They'd get in so much trouble together.
Please pray for his family.

Graduation was a very scary and unsure time. YOu wonder how long you'll stay in touch with your friends and what the future has in store for you. It's just a big change overall. Angelina will do great. It sounds like she has good friends and obviously has support from a great family. It's a happy and sad time!

Lina came in yesterday afternoon and told us she had been talking to one of her friend's parents. The parent had asked Lina if she was going away for her schooling, Lina's said her reply was, "My parents couldn't handle if I went away for school." I think it is more like, Lina couldn't handle being away from mom and dad for so long at a time.

Lina came in yesterday afternoon and told us she had been talking to one of her friend's parents. The parent had asked Lina if she was going away for her schooling, Lina's said her reply was, "My parents couldn't handle if I went away for school."
