Nancy - I didn't realize the flooding was bad over by you - are a lot of roads washed out?

Yes, the flooding was pretty bad over this way Jen. Brookfield and Wauwatosa got slammed as well as Hales Corners.

Good morning all,

Here is a picture of my boys all grown up. You guys with younger kids need to enjoy them now they grow up way too fast. DS # 1 had an appointment at his new employer so he was all dressed up too. I was a crying fool.

Great pic Joanne. :thumbsup2 And here's a  for ya too.

oops I guess I will fix that or I could be arrested!!!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Don't remind me.:rotfl: But just for the record, Scott is old, not me! He will turn 40 this year.:lmao: :lmao:

Hey! Since when is 40 considered old?? :( I was thinking it was more like 60 or so. :bitelip:

OK, I'm in. I just couldn't take it anymore without having the AC in my work car and the fact that I had all outside meters to read today, I couldn't even get into anyone's house to cool off for a few seconds every now and then. I called my foreman at 1:30 and told him I was heading home. Two hours of sick time is worth it for me to be home in the AC.

Hazel, was able to get me 6 bottles of the Smart Water at a different CVS on her way home, since BJ's doesn't carry it.

I'm going to go lay down for a little bit and cool this old body of mine off.....;)

MG--Lina just picked me up a 20 oz bottle of Smart Water at CVS. I will give it a try tomorrow while I am walking around. I like the fact that this doesn't have all the sugar that the Gatorade does. The SW bottle was a 1.59 at CVS, still that's only .10 cents more than what I paid today, and I won't be taking in all that sugar now either. Thanks for the tip!!! :thumbsup2

Good for you Andy. Cut down on the sugar.

Well, good morning from an overcast England.

No outdoor pool for me today:mad: - I knew I shoulkd have gone yesterday.

Gotta get to school early today - they have a mobile classroom coming to school called the life caravan. Teaches all the kids about their bodies and feelings etc. We get to go in it together before school starts then the kids get lessons in there during the day. I am expecting some awkward "how was I born" questions tonight:rotfl:

We had a lovely day today Karen...but it all goes down hill tomorrow.

We certainly did this afternoon - it was a scorcher! I went shopping this morning - 2 new swimsuits for me hols and a little dress too, then it was straight to the pool this afternoon - I had it to myself for a while too:cool1:

I did 30 lengths (its only 20 metres) then sunbathed for an hour.

I've seen the forecast for tomorrow:rolleyes:RAIN!:scared1: :sad2:

Well since all the Brits are on right now and I have a few spare seconds, I thought I'd just pop in and say hi.

Work has been extremely busy and I don't see it letting up prior to the Repo. So my time here will be limited (unless I decide to blow off a day and post - that never happens :rolleyes1 ).

All is fine with us. Lots of rain, but we sit high up so no flooding in our area. We were down at our nephew's b-day party when it started (they are near the airport) and when we left, it wasn't letting up. Took us over 1 1/2 hours to get home that night - usually takes 35 minutes. Freeways were closed, side streets were flooded. A lot of turning (west-north-west-north) to get us home. We made it though.

I've been skimming along, but am not going back to quote anything. Sorry if I missed anything important.

He everyone...

Guess What?

I got a promotion! :cool1:

It's a bigger promotion than originally expected. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I was looking at some pictures on one of our local news channel's website and this one shows what the clouds looked like when the storm came in. This was taken in the Village of Sussex (it is located between Nancy and I). Look at the wall of that cloud. :scared1:

Thanks for all the comments onthe kids. I am very proud of them. All that yelling and screaming paid off. I just hope they keep it up. It's just amazing how fast it goes even thought it seems like forever when they are being rotten teen agers.

I had one last week and it was yummy. it sure melts fast when it's hot. France was open yet when I was there so didn't get to try the Grand marnier slushie. Will have to do that in Sept.

Hiya Jeff...good to see you hear, even if it is for a little time. Will try and keep you up to date with any developments on the D.S. Know what you mean about work...it's mad at my work at the moment.

nevermind. Heather beat me to it. Work is crazy here too. I might be here all week end so I can take 7 days off.
