The cruise that sailed the week after our cruise in August 2004 had an extra 3 days added to their cruise because of a hurricane. They had to go to Texas to refuel. That was the Magic's "first ever 10 day cruise."
We were supposed to be on that 7-nighter (was shortened because of that prior cruise going to Galveston, TX). That was a nail biting time for us:headache:. OUr plans changed several times a day leading up to that darned cruise. We eventually cancelled (didn't want a shortened cruise, would have missed CC, had to leave out of Fort Lauderdale I think it was), got a nice rebooking discount and that's how we ended up on a cruise with you and Hazel! We did go to WDW a couple weeks later, though. September was a HOT time to be in Disney.

LOL - I just remembered, that was the September Disney trip I got pregnant with Amelia!!!

speaking of our grandson. they are in serious discussions over his name.
michael wanted to name him brock or blake, but courtney vetoed those names. anyone got any ideas for a boys name?(winner gets a smoothie in the name underdogs grandkid contest):rotfl2:
Ernest is a BEAUTIFUL NAME! :rolleyes1

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes A very special Disney trip indeed!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Congratulations Robin. What will you be doing now?

those smoothies were pretty good last year Robin. Ill take one. :thumbsup2

I'll be a part of the change management team, assisting in training for the new projects, facilitating project logistics, and coordinating project activities.

I'll be traveling quite a bit throughout the year to Texas, California, Canada... to most of our subsidiaries and conferences. Schedule hasn't been set yet.

I started training a temp for my job today. They want me to start ASAP, so I'm going to work 1/2 day on one job to train her and 1/2 day on my new job.

Regarding my Dad... he's doing a little better. He's starting to smile more, doesn't seem so agitated. Psych came in today...the way he talked, he may be heading back to Windsor soon. (nursing home)

How's your Dad doing Nancy? Hope everything's fine.

Thanks for all the congrats everyone.

And Chris... I'm afraid my new boss isn't interested in personalities. It's a woman. :rotfl2: (lucky for me)

Nancy,

I hear you're going camping. In a cabin? With a bathroom? That's not camping. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Camping is sleeping on the ground under the stars and waking up damp from the dew. Then using the nearest bush for a bathroom and poison ivy for toilet paper. NOW THAT'S CAMPING! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Thanks Mel! :goodvibes

As you can see, I've only posted two videos. My first one was meant to be a "sappy" valentine's gift for Beth. Only, she laughed the whole way through it! :happytv: Oh well, it did make her happy! :cutie:

Thanks for the comment on the video. :thumbsup2

Matthew

Okay.. I have to defend myself here! Matthew and the girls lip-synced and "played" guitars to Michael Buble's "Everything". It was very cute! BUT... does anyone remember the Robert Palmer song "Addicted to Love"...with the girls in the background "playing" guitar... dark hair, slicked back (all of them!) They had very serious, unchanging expressions. Well, Megan's expression reminded me of the girls in that video. It just made me laugh! I did think it was one of the sweetest things ever!

Yep, that's "real" toilet paper...........:rotfl:

I'm calling it a night dear folks, see ya in the mornin' :wave2:

I just wanted to add my "storm report" for the night. I got off work at 7:30 and seemed to drive INTO the storm. No tornado type activity, but sheets of rain. As I started driving out again, I saw some amazing sights!

Left side: large black cloud. Ahead of me: layers of dark and lighter clouds. To the right: Clouds up but clear sky below them and (best of all) the sun behind the clouds shining through with the brightest white light I have ever seen! It reflected off the water on the road (blinding!) so I had to be careful. But, the whole scene together was just beautiful! I wished I had a camera (cell phone camera too complicated for driving in the rain!)

Of course, I like the names Remington (not for a gun) and Philip (one L). Others, that I think Lori will agree with are Frank and Dexter. I really liked the name of one of our grandmother's old boyfriends: Carrington. We liked it better than Remington but it didn't go with our last name. A little boy in our community is Ty Carrington. I like the new with the old and the short with the long name.

Bummer! I work 2 12hr shifts, get caught up, and everyone is off to bed!

Well, I loved all the pictures.

The Graduation Meltdown was heart wrenching - but cute too!

I couldn't access the storm video...I'll have Matthew help me tomorrow...he's already gone to bed too!

So... good night ... to no one there!

Congratulations, Robin!

I thought I had missed the decision and was afraid to ask whether or not you got it!

Loved all the pics! I will try to contribute when school is out.

Did I mention that I have two more "student days"?
;)
