The funny thing was i must have been stood under a hole in the roof coz the "rain" was rolling down my face despite the rest of me being bone dry....:rolleyes1

You old softy...or for us in the UK.....big girls blouse!.

So DS is dead to the world every morning of the week when he has to go to school. He then proceeds to stay up late last night.

WHY THE "H" DOES HE WAKE UP AT 6:00 A.M. ON SATURDAY MORNING?! :scared1:

I wish I could wake up late at the weekend...but no....6am on the dot, my body clock clicks in and says..time to get up!

And I grab a FO in the process.

A query..is anyone else monitoring the blogs and trip reports for the wb repo?

They've all gone amazingly quiet and no update for at least 24hrs. Anyone got any ideas why?

I've just finished 2hrs worth of ironing...Nancy would be proud of me.

And now as I've got no one to chat with.

Good morning all from Little rock Arkansas.

What an awful drive from Florida to here. Very little interstate. Lots of farms and trucks. We left Thursday after work drove until 10. Stayed in Vicksburg Miss. Then three and a half more hours in the morning. AS soon as we got here Scott left us to go play with the boys. We havn't seen him since. We are a little miffed since we are the only ones beside family who drove this far, how could we not it's Scott's best friend. But we have not been invited to any thing but the wedding. The rehersal dinner was last night and I just saw all the women having breakfast together. Oh well. There is a music festival right outside the hotel. So Roger and I went last night. It was nice. I am not a country music fan but Huey Lewis was the last act last night. So that was a highlight to our evening.I went out for a walk this moring and there he was having breakfast in the restaurant!!!

Let me tell you- there is nothing in Little Rock. We walked up and down streets yesterday. ALL the stores are empty. I grew up in NY so cities don't scare me but this one did. Very empty and the only people we did run into were homeless. It was kind of creepy. This morning I walked from our hotel to the Clinton Library and back.

Every one have a great week end.

I suppose I etter go and do some housework. Rick is getting angry with his computer trying to edit his Cork video...so I'll stay out of his way.

Hiya Joanne...have a great time this weekend.

Back later...and I'll try and post some pics of last Sunday's adventure to Selfridges.

We'll we're getting off in all of the ports, but taking DCL tours. We did look into another excursion company, but believe or not, they were more expensive.

In which port?

I know that in PV, DCL is charging WAY MORE than Vallarta Tours (or whatever their name is) for the excursions. That is the company DCL is using.

I would ONLY do DCL in Cartagena.

Paige,

when Jay and I were last in DC (summer 2003) we spent an entire afternoon at the Holocaust Museum and it was absolutely incredible - emotionally wrenching and strangely illuminating.

I know it's not possible, but I really think it should be mandatory for people to visit there. Not only to ensure that no one ever forgets it, but to remind all of us of the horror that people are capable of visiting on each over such inconsequential things as skin color, politics, national origin, cultural identity, and religious beliefs.

When I find myself making sweeping generalizations about someone I disagree with I always try to think of The Merchant of Venice and that speech that Shylock gives in the third act:

Hath not a Jew eyes? Hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions; fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, heal'd by the same means, warm'd and cool'd by the same winter and summer as a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? ...

At the end of the day we're all the same ... our individual differences make us beautiful and interesting but we're all members of the same human family. That's one of the things that the Holocaust Museum drove home most powerfully to me.

Sorry ... I'm getting down off my soap box now. :flower3:

When we were stationed in germany we went to one that was in Germany talk about emotional. WE had little kids at the time and they asked you not to
take them in to certain exibhits. The bunk rooms and gas chambers were still there. It was awful.

Hiya Joanne...have a great time this weekend.

Thanks Heather, we are trying to figure out what to do today. It'cloudy and very humid. We are staying in the city so there is not even a pool to lay by all day!!!!

Can't remember the name of the excursion company..it was sometime ago that Rick and I looked.
