Hey MG, anything "interesting" happen today........:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Well, we had another cat fight at work today. Those two chicks can just go at it all day long. I put my iPod on and cranked the volume. Listened to Disney all afternoon. That was kind of interesting.

oh yeah and this!!

Look what Goofy sent me from Florida!! Or maybe it wasn't really Goofy, instead just some "goof" from the Garden State. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just received this message from a choir buddy of mine. Michael Jones is a very talented singer from our church choir, he has also been blind from birth. This message was sent to my buddy from Michael's mother.

Hi All,
Just a note: Saturday June 7 @ 5:00 Michael Jones will be singing the National Anthem for the Belmont Stakes Horse Races (the third leg of the triple crown) at approximately 5:00 p.m.
The National Anthem will be simulcast/ televised through out the United States and as far away as the race is seen - U.K., Europe etc. - Tune in shortly before 5:00 to catch Michael. Please spread the word!
Thank you,
Debra Jones

Like I said....some "goof". Thanks for the laughs Andy. I really need some lately. BTW...Chuck has told the story to all four of the kids (separately) and two different neighbors already. :thumbsup2

It was a success than.............have a great weekend in the cabin ;) ;) ;)

I just stopped by the house for my afternoon break, upon arriving home Lina told me that one of her fellow classmate's father hung himself yesterday. This, with less than two weeks until graduation, please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. :worried:
Oh, that's horrible.
I'm so sorry to hear this. How sad.

It's been another long day, and this Old Man needs to turn in, already thinking about tomorrow's.........T.G.I.F. day!!! :thumbsup2

See ya tomorrow........:wave2:

believe it or not we talked about that too.:thumbsup2
i have a week off then too. the only thing thats holding us back from that is we are expecting grandchild #2 to be born around that time.
due date sept 4.

speaking of our grandson. they are in serious discussions over his name.
michael wanted to name him brock or blake, but courtney vetoed those names. anyone got any ideas for a boys name?(winner gets a smoothie in the name underdogs grandkid contest):rotfl2:

I kinda like the name Harrison. Seriously, I like Aiden, Gage, Carter, Benjamin, and Samuel. Those are my favs.

Glad to hear you made it through safe and sound, we are having the first line of severe thunderstorms going through our area right now, some winds reported at 65mph.

Our storms last night were horrible too. It was the worst I have ever witnessed myself. We even went down to the basement for awhile. I'm glad we don't get storms like that very often. Glad everyone made it through ok.

Such terrible news.

Good morning everybody.:goodvibes

Today I am going to venture to the gym for the first time in about 2weeks. Neil was talking about cancelling our ridiculously expensive membership as we dont go, so I thought I might venture there this morning...the thoguhts of losing that georgous outdoor pool all summer is just to much :rotfl2:

Day 5 of the slim fast challenge - so far so good:thumbsup2

I tried the strawberry milkshake this morning - the powder stuff is fine:thumbsup2 - I used my hand blender and it tastes just like the expensive pre mixed stuff:yay: - less than half price too:woohoo:

OK Karen, since I laughed at you about your story, here's your chance to laugh with me about my story. I had to dig way back in my list of threads, but I found the threads, read the first post in each of the following links:

The funny thing is, when Hazel and I were at the Orlando airport the other day, we were sitting just across from these same rest rooms, needless to say, we both had a chuckle about it once again........

Thanks Andy - I was laughing so much Ellis came in to ask me why I was laughing so loud.:lmao:

Oh Karen you totally misunderstood me ... I wasn't upset that you said anything or brought it up. It's just that most people seem to have very settled and firm political opinions (everywhere, not just here) and it's almost always impossible to have a civilized discussion. People seem to end up trying to convince each other why they are right and the other person is wrong and it deteriorates into insults (about each other as well as candidates).

I was just posting my thoughts on one aspect of a statement about running mates and then I said what I said to make it clear that I didn't want to get into a political debate (here) about it. That's all.

I hope you don't think I was trying to censor you. I would be the last person who would ever try to do something like that.

Phew! I thought I'd offended you. Our tv is full of it - every news item mentions it...I just found it boring thats all and wondered if your tv's were plastered with it all day every day too.

I dont "do" politics... so you wont get politics talk on here from me:thumbsup2
