Friday: Manicures, Pedicures, and rehersal went off without a hitch. We had pizza ( at DiMarini's) and all the boys came back to our house. They played poker and then we Wii'd until 2:00 am. I couldn't fall asleep until about 3:30 (no surpirse there huh?)

Saturday: Up by 6:00 (just me, again...no surprise) and made the boys a breakfast of Chocolate Chip pancakes, biscuits and cinnamon rolls.
Kristin came back from her $85.00 hair appointment and ripped it all out because she hated it (again, no surprise :rotfl2: ). Kristin and I left for the church to be there by noon leaving strict instructions for the boys to follow right behind. Hmmmm, they actually showed up 45 minutes later!! No surprises there. :lmao:

As soon as we saw Stacy the tears started to flow. What a beautiful bride inside and out! She was the Perfect Bride! Honestly! Cool as a cucumber and a pleasure to be with. :lovestruc

I made it up the aisle without crying and so did Stacy's mom. We refused to look at each other for fear of losing it. As soon as Tony saw Stacy, I looked at him and he said "Oh man, I think I'm gonna cry". He held it in until she got up to him and just one little tear fell.

The service went fine until the entire wedding party started laughing. Seems like Jesse was singing one of the hymms and was a little louder than he thought and way off key. Even the Pastor was laughing.:rotfl2:

After the vows and the introductions as the new Mr and Mrs. G-----, Tony and Stacy did a little secret handshake and I gave Tony a "high five" on the way back down the aisle.

What seemed like thousands of pictures later, we were finally at the recption hall. Great food, lots of fun, and just a few drunks. The bridal dance was hilarious and I wish we had it on video. I know someone does, but not me.

Jesse gave such a wonderful speech/toast and the poor kid lost it at the end. He had the entire place laughing at one point and bawling at the next. :grouphug: ( I just love that kid!).

Sunday: An impromptu "gift opening" party at our house had Tuna and I scurrying to Sam's to plan a luncheon for 15 people. That turned out great too!

I'm taking my camera to Walgreens to get prints and will try to add a few pictures here, but the photographer will have all the pictures up by this week and I'll post the link somewhere for all of you to see. Warning....there are some absolutely horrid picks of me "losing it" too.

It was a wonderful weekend and we really did have the time of our lives!

Thanks for all the "well-wishes", the prayers for great weather (they worked!) and for not T-Ping our house. :rotfl2:

Nancy - So glad to hear everything went well for the wedding...

Good morning everyone - work's crazy so I can't catch up. I'll try to see you later!

Hey Jeff that is so sweet of you. We are going to be in Missouri for that week at Scotts moms. It is only about an 8 hour drive up t Milwaukee, we might just come on up for a visit as long as you don't mind the 5 of us.

I was talking to Suz while we were out today about the 4th of July and how some people who didn't live here didn't get an invite, and she said to open it up to all.

So, if anyone will be in the Milwaukee area over the 4th of July weekend or would like to come to Milwaukee for that weekend, please PM me and let me know. The more the merrier.

BTW, we have Summerfest going on that week - the largest music festival in the world. There are also the Wisconsin Dells which are cool to see and the breweries. Beautiful lakeshore as well.

things are great.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
tribe's playing bad but its early. i havnt been watching as much so far cause i'm still in shock from last years choke.:sad1:

i had the option to work midnite this week but opted for dayshift just so i could see my sweet tart a little more. if she gets that promotion this week it will be party, party, party around here.

Good Luck to Robin pixiedust:

Nancy,

Glad to see you're back and survived the weekend.

Also glad to hear everything went well. You got a great weekend weather wise here.

Can't wait to see the pics.

Glad to hear the wedding went well. There were a few here this week end too. After seeing all the $$ and planning I hope my boys 19 & 22 want to do it under a palm tree!!!! Then no one will see all my crying!!! I can't even imagin, I cried at graduation, leaving them at college--etc. They both have serious girlfriends so I am sure these conversations are happening.

karen- please do some yard work for us!!

happy Monday all.

So I talked to DS's teacher this morning to see if she has heard about next year's school calendar.

Though it is not out officially, she did say they will NOT, under any circumstances, be starting before Labor Day (they have a water issue and the town is running water out that way and they are not allowed to start school without water - they are on bottled all year this year).

So this means DS will not be missing any time for the Repo cruise. We thought he was going to miss the first 3 days of school (they usually start that Tues-Thurs before Labor Day).

This also means that since DS isn't missing those 3 days, we don't feel bad pulling him 3 other days during the year.

Gotta start looking at that weekend before Christmas again as well as a February trip (they will only take one day of for a reading conference this year and not the bonus day, but we could still plan around that weekend). Then there is the second half of Easter week, maybe going out that Thursday and coming back on Monday or Tuesday.

Either way, looks like we can plan some time off during the school year. :cool1:

What's an FO?

This is a game that started way back on our thread for our October '07 cruise.

When you get the first page of a new thread, and then follow it up by a second post saying F.O. (which is fresh one or first one, I forget) you've gotten an "FO". Sometimes, a person will try to get that second post (this is where the boards' 40 second rule make it interesting) and then you're denied the "FO".

It's a goofy game...we decided not to play when the new thread length rules came out (250 pages max) but, old habits die VERY hard with this group, and some of us play anyway! Feel free to play, or ignore, whichever you'd like!

Ok, I give up trying to catch up today...let me know if I missed anything important.

How are all the "losers" doing today? So far I'm on track...good breakfast, I have a healthy lunch packed, and my main course for dinner is in the crockpot. I'm making super easy chicken, which I will eat the leftovers at least 3 times this week for lunch. When I make this recipe, I always cook extra, and then I can weigh out just 2-3 ounces at a time as leftovers for lunch with couscous and veggies (very filling). Then I can alternate 1-2 times with a tuna sandwich for lunch for variety.

 My MIL called Woody a week late last year to wish him a Happy B day and then started arguing with him that she didn't miss his birthday! She still swears he was born a week later. :confused3 We just smile and nod. ::yes::

Oh my..........

I'm off to slob on the sofa and give my back a chance to recover....

I'm looking for sympathy here guys;) :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah, me too Karen. Both knees are killing me today, sitting here with the heating pad across both knees. I feel like I'm 83 today, not 53.........:lmao:

This chilly, damp weather sucks!!!!!

OK, now to go back and read some good news reports from MG........:thumbsup2

Right on target for my wl. Lost 2 more pounds this weekend- too busy to eat + kickball practice = 2 lbs!! I know I will prob. only loose 1-2 this week but that's the goal so I am good with it. Lunch is a South Beach sesame chicken wrap with sugar free rasberry jello. Yum!! Still not sure what I am going to have for dinner. :confused3

Good for you!

BTW - your lunch sounds yummy...is the South Beach wrap a frozen dinner type thing, or a SB recipe?

it's a box lunch thing. Usually you can find them in the deli meat section of the grocery store. the whole thing plus the jello (comes with it! :thumbsup2 ) is 220 calories and 21g of protein. Not too bad. And it fills me up. That is the key! I have an apple for my snack this afternoon.

Got a quote today for fligh only for next Oct - $3500 for all 3 of us.

Still need to add a car hire, park passes and accomodation on top of that.

Cant decide whether to hire a villa for a week (expensive for just the 3 of us but we'd get our own pool) or just cheap it out in a hotel like we usually do - less than half the price of a villa..... and someone else tidies up after you:rolleyes1

Also, do we car hire for the 14 days like last time so we can dump the rest of the luggage in the boot or just 1 and hump all the luggage onboard?:confused3

i have plenty of time to decide:rolleyes:

Where did you get your quote from Karen, thats a good price, how is that flying with.
We stopped at a villa last october and having your own pool is just fab. Olivia was still in the pool one night at midnight.:yay:
