Rose, you and I are like Mary Matelin (sp?) and James Carvel (sp?). You'd be Carvel.

They are complete opposites yet are married with kids. You and I can go at it and still be good friends.

I do feel like I'm in the minority here on the DIS though.

I don't want to get in the middle either but we have already "suspended" a grounding for Rach in order for her to go with me to visit my sister and brother-in-law that live over 6 hours away from us. She typed up a whole page of reasons why she should be able to go with and serve her punishment after we got back home. That was part of what convinced me to give in, she realized she would still need to serve the punishment. The other thing is that they are her favorite aunt and uncle and we only get to see them a few times a year and the times we spend with them I treasure too because Rach is always in a good mood when we are at their house, she leaves the stinky home

But I always gave in, groundings and punishments never stuck very well,

Just had my life flash before me eyes. I was on my way home after dropping DD off at school and was getting ready to make a left hand turn onto our street when a man driving an RV ran through the traffic light. I slammed on my brakes and laid on the horn, the RV kept going and came within inches of wiping out our car and me. My heart is still racing, that was a close one......

I guess someone was in a hurry to start his vacation.........

I'm actually surprised how nice today actually is after I saw the forecast yesterday. Tomorrow it gets crappy. All the way through Saturday at least. Sorry Nancy.
