Karen,
You know that Universal has the Grinch during Christmas. Unless he scares the crud out of Ellis.

OK did you 2 have the onboard booking prices? Sean and I are paying 2109 for the 2 of us.

Which brings me to another question that maybe you 2 can help me with.
If the prices stay the same by the time August comes around, could I do an onboard reservation, get the discount, then have dreams switch cabins with that reservation?

Becky--you can check when you are onboard during repo cruise and see what the price is with the 10% discount. You should also get the $200 onboard credit. Crunch those numbers and see how they compare to what you are already paying. I'm not sure if you will be able to get the same cabin however as you would have to create a new ressie and cancel the old ressie.

Jeff booked the BOB cruise for Hazel and I when he was onboard back in October, that's why Hazel and I got the 10% discount and $200 onboard credit. If Hazel and I were to cancel the BOB cruise and switch it to another date, we would loose the discount and onboard credit that Jeff got for us.

Sorry, Andy, I had to do some actual work related things. I'm back for a little bit.

Hope Hazel fully recovers soon.

Hazel's fever broke, but she is still quite stuffed up and feeling run down. I think another restful night will really help. I'm just glad all three of us got our flu shot back in October, or she might be feeling worse for a longer amount of time.

Oh, Survivor will be coming on in about 10 minutes, will be heading offline again..........;)

Thanks Mike!!! The little lady is all curled up under the covers on our bed. I'm out in the livingroom staying away from the germs as much as possible.

OK, I'm outta here, Survivor is about to come on, see ya later.............:wave2:

Good morning everyone. I just had a few minutes before leaving for work so I thought I would just jump on and say hi. Hope you all have a good day.

hi carrie.:thumbsup2 what were building in your garage? i think you promised us pics.:woohoo:
how's the candyman?

Well, good morning peeps!:goodvibes

Feeling pretty lousy this morning - got a head full of bogeys!:scared: :lmao:

I guess I'll just sit on the pc all day and plan our holiday!:cool1:

Does anyone have a preference to a date if we all want to meet up?

How about the 28th or 29th? - I think everyone is there by then and no-one has gone home by then:confused3 - just a thought.

Could the meet be outside of a theme park? otherwise it would be more costly getting another days pass for people.

If anyone has any suggestions?:confused3

One place to consider is Bahama Breeze in LBV. It has a big outside seating area so we can have a drink and a chat and eat if we want to.:confused3

I'm happy to go anywhere:goodvibes

Karen here's some more  :wizard: pixiedust: to help get you feeing better quickly!

We fly home the morning of the 28th. We'd love to see everyone before we leave too! Is everyone there on the 27th? Or maybe we could have 2 meets? Outside the parks would work for us.

we'll be on property.
we may not have a car, but can hitch-hike out.
i'll simply show the scar and some hot chic will surely pick us up.:cool2:

They are all over the cape. Hyannis, Yarmouthport, bridge, Dennis. I love the Christmas Tree shops. They are so much fun. lots of great things there not just Christmas. Diane

Cheryl - the Boston book is the Berlitz pocket guide - great little book:thumbsup2

Theres also the "Cheers" Bar to visit too and the Old south meeting house.

Faneuil Market place had the xmas shop I think and you could grab yourself a bargain at Filenes Basement:thumbsup2 and theres also the "tea boat thing" where you throw the tea overboard.

We also did whale watching and saw loads of humpbacks but it was very choppy the day we went:sick:

Theres Copley Square and the John Hancock building

Hope that gives you somethings to think about:thumbsup2

Have fun!

wow you are great tourist guide. Those are all great places. I dont think Filenes basement is open anymore. Diane

Wow ladies thanks for all the great tips for Boston :thumbsup2 There sure is a lot to see. I just changed our hotel reservation last night to the Marriott in Cambridge which is right by a T stop which should make it easy to get around. We were originally going to be staying about 1/2 an hour west of the city.

We're on property too and we will have a car so if you need a ride we could pick you guys up.

What were you doing in the backseat? :rolleyes1

Why not look at one of the cross-overs? I really like the GMC Arcadia. That will be our next one when we get rid of the Bravada.

I saw a silver Arcadia in our school lot today. It really caught my eye. Very nice! We just paid off our Honda Pilot and I love it more everyday! I keep cars until they die!

We are game for anything! I was thinking DTD but it is going to be :scared1:
I like the idea of outside of the parks. We will have a car and anyone who doesn't can ride with us. :goodvibes

We'll have a car too - there'd be a little space in it - theres only three of us so room for two more if you dont mind the squash!

Those of us with cars can always help out picking up those without cars.

How hard is it to go to one of the WDW resorts? They usually let you go in for 2-3 hours (although this group will probably need more :rotfl: ). Just say you're going to meet a guest for lunch. :thumbsup2

Yep those of us with cars can pick up those without :goodvibes

Jeff you are saying "those of us with cars" it sounds like you have moved to the definitely going side :goodvibes

O.K., the accountant is coming out in me.

How bad is it that I'm looking at the prices of this trip to WDW and thinking I could do a beach vacation in Mexico instead without the caos?

We've put a cap of $200/each on our airline tickets. If we do a $100 hotel, before food, car rental and whatever else, we will be at $1,200 for 5 nights. This trip will easily top $1,500-$1700.

4-5 nights in Playa del Carmen or Puerto Vallarta for that kind of $ sounds really good. And the weather will be sunny and hot for sure.

However, I REALLY want to see everyone again, especially you Karen.

Do they real have deals to go to Mexico at Christmas time? I thought it was expensive to travel pretty much antwhere at that time. Besides you wouldn't have all these Bobers in Mexico with you :goodvibes

you were talking to lurking lynn??
how are they? are they doing kk2? does she still lurk around and read here?
if so..hi lurking lynn !!
hope to see them at wdw dis meet.
tell her to make sure she paints her toenails pink again so we can recognize her.(she'll know what that means)

Yep I talked to Lynn on Sun. night, she and Chris are good. They are coming on KK2  I'm not sure if she is lurking here yet or not, she might be waiting until it gets closer. We are stopping to visit them for a few nights in June when we go to NYC and Boston :woohoo: so we were talking about our palns for then. Next time I email or talk to them I'll pass on the request for the pink toenails :confused3

Thanks Andy.
SPH rooms are worth the normal rate themselves. I'll check with dreams as well.

What a treat to have both Tart and Dog on at the same time!
