OK guys, I'm signing off for the night, see y'all tomorrow...........:wave2:

OK guys give me some good cruise songs to put on my IPOD.

Also if you don't already know, the theme song that is on the Disney commercials is called Fly from the Peter Pan movie from a few years ago.

OK did you 2 have the onboard booking prices? Sean and I are paying 2109 for the 2 of us.

Which brings me to another question that maybe you 2 can help me with.
If the prices stay the same by the time August comes around, could I do an onboard reservation, get the discount, then have dreams switch cabins with that reservation?

Becky--you can check when you are onboard during repo cruise and see what the price is with the 10% discount. You should also get the $200 onboard credit. Crunch those numbers and see how they compare to what you are already paying. I'm not sure if you will be able to get the same cabin however as you would have to create a new ressie and cancel the old ressie.

Jeff booked the BOB cruise for Hazel and I when he was onboard back in October, that's why Hazel and I got the 10% discount and $200 onboard credit. If Hazel and I were to cancel the BOB cruise and switch it to another date, we would loose the discount and onboard credit that Jeff got for us.

Becky, here is what I would do. And since you're with Dreams it will take a little.

Book a Cat 10 on the repo. Transfer it out to Dreams when you get home. Then have them do the room number switch. After that, have them cancel the original ressie.

I would keep an eye on the pricing just in case we move up before the Repo. However, this past October didn't move at all until the last few months.

Another option, see what Dreams is offering for the BOB now. They may have a discounted price due to their volume. You may be able to at least get a discount similar to the 10%. Book it and have them switch rooms. You won't get the $200 OBC, but you can then try the above and maybe bring it down some more.

I think you have some options here.

I saw a silver Arcadia in our school lot today. It really caught my eye. Very nice! We just paid off our Honda Pilot and I love it more everyday! I keep cars until they die!

Yes, the Arcadia is eye catching. And I really like the silver color.

We drive the cars until the wheels fall off too. We still have the first new car we purchased after we got married. It is a 1996 and has 203,000 miles.

The Bravada was new too in 2000 (8 years old on the 13th of this month actually). 121,000 miles.

We have an '04 Accord with 61,000 miles.

A car is the WORST purchase one can make. It loses so much just in the first year. I don't think I'll buy a new domestic car again. They lose about 40% in two years.

If you drive it though until it dies, it starts making money for you in the years after 7. The best thing to do is to start putting money away in the later years so you can switch over to paying cash for your cars. Loans are the worst thing on a car.

Yep those of us with cars can pick up those without :goodvibes

Jeff you are saying "those of us with cars" it sounds like you have moved to the definitely going side :goodvibes

Nope, not on the definite side at all. I just know the people who have cars will probably step up and help out.

However, if we do end up going, I will shuttle people if we have the room in the car.

Do they real have deals to go to Mexico at Christmas time? I thought it was expensive to travel pretty much antwhere at that time. Besides you wouldn't have all these Bobers in Mexico with you :goodvibes

You didn't get to my follow up posts yet.

It is worse than WDW for that time of year.

Alrighty. Looks like Playa del Carmen is out. Apple Vacations has their flights out for that week.

For us to go to the cheapest hotel offered, for 4 nights, it would be $4,700 all-inclusive.

Crap, might as well look at a 4-night Wonder sailing. :scratchin

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Just got there now. A friend of Al's had thought about taking his family to Playa del Carmen for Chritmas 2 years ago, they didn't go either too $$$$

That's better! Looks like some nice stops too

Evening Cheryl.

Yeah, Xmas and Easter are just nuts.

I have never vacationed at that time. Not sure if I will start.

I just can see spending for 3-4 days what I could get for 7-8 days at a different time of the year.

I was surprised to see that one for only that little.

Sad thing is, I'm only paying $5,200 for the 15 nights on the Repo.

I think I'd much rather be sailing through the Canal on DCL.

Hi Jeff

This is our first time vacationing during the holidays and it may be our last with what airfares are. I am so glad we had those frequent flier miles! My brother and his family have gone to WDW over Easter week a few times and they are going again this year. He says you just have to get to the parks when they open, which is what we always do anyways, and then leave for some pool and relaxation time in the afternoon and go back at night.

This ship isn't as pretty either. This is one of RCCL's older ships.

I'd rather be going through the canal on DCL too. In fact I wish I was! I'll have to live it through all the pictures you KK/Bobers that are going through the canal take and post for us to see

I still can't believe Midwest allowed you to use FF miles. They are so stingy that I would have thought they'd black that time out.

I am not doing any planning until AirTran releases their prices.

My concern with leaving the parks is being allowed back in. Don't they deny non-WDW people if the parks get too full?

This is why I travel off season. Although I do have to say, we under paid for the repo cruise. Honestly. They should have never started that low. It is cheaper than the KK and BOB cruises.

I'm sure Andy will post a link here for you guys to click on for the "live from" thread.

I, and Andy, both were following that cruise back in 2005.

I will have my laptop with me, so I will try to post a little while we're sailing. I'll bring my card reader as well so I can post some pictures. :thumbsup2
