EXCELLENT!!! But where are all the peoples?

This camera isn't as close up as the other set of locks (on the south end) is.

There you can see the people really good.

It did look like the back of the ship was quiet though on the last picture.

May not have a problem getting a spot to watch from. The front will be jammed though.

Someone posted the bridge was only about ten minutes away from the next set of locks, so most likely not until later this afternoon.

Later yet due to the delay.

Wonder what caused that? We'll have to read the threads tonight to find out what went on.

Just checking in to re-introduce ourselves. I'm Tony (Nancy & Chuck's son) and my "new" wife Stacy. This is our second cruise. The first one was with the Konked Kruisers.

Good Morning All. Well DH has decided to cruise with us after all. I guess when I wasn't talking about it all the time he wasn't interested but last night I had a renewed excitement and now he wants to come. Now the really good news, DD and I where just going to go inside....well DH thinks we should book a balcony....so getting prices right now to change!!!!

So now to try and catch up!!!!

Well, I guess I better poke my head in and introduce another cast of characters that will be cruising with you all in Oct.

We are Duane (me), Claudine (DW), and Ashleigh (DD, 11) Miller.

We are from the Raleigh NC area. And are DIS nuts like the rest of you. We met Cheryl, Al, and Rachel two years ago on the October cruise. In fact I remember meeting Cass here at the DIS before they had to cancel that particular cruise. Cass, its good to meet you again!

We look forward to meeting you all, and getting to know you over the next several months that lead up to the sail date.

Hi Duane!! to our great big wonderful group So, how was that cruise??? That's the one we had to cancel because I got pregnant and would be too large to cruise Instead, I rebooked for the 10/20/2007 cruise and got to cruise with some wonderful people. And now we've rebooked just to cruise with them again

Just read this on another thread: They aren't too far off of the schedule in the first post of this thread. They should make the Centennial bridge by 2:30 or 3:00 pm.

Nice to see Magic again, we cruised on carnival this past March and ended up with magic beside us in Cozumel.....I so wanted to be on Magic instead of Legend.

We've never done a non-DCL cruise, but when I look at them, I always cross check their schedule with DCL's.

I don't think I could stand seeing the Magic and not being on it.

I'd probably come back to the port and out of habit, try to get on the wrong ship.

Duane - is your daughter 11 now or at the time of the cruise.

Tipping is done separately - you can have it added to your shipboard account or tip separately in cash. They do give you envelopes for each person too give to them on the last day/night.

Bringing drinks on board is a debated topic - I'm going to leave that one to the experts. I *think* you can carry on reasonable amounts, but can no longer put it in packed luggage due to the extra screening they have to do on all the checked luggage at the port.

Hilarious Chris. We have a 3 year old yellow lab. A few weeks ago I was shopping at Hallmark and received a free stuffed animal for blowing half my paycheck. I grabbed a little stuffed yellow lab and put it on the dashboard of the van. Cabo (our pooch) growled at it and the hair on his neck was standing straight up. He was not a happy camper. He still gives it the old evil eye when he gets in the van.
