My name is cath and i am travelling with my husband sean and daughter who will be 12,(nearly 13) at time of cruising - *** she wants to go in the stack with the other girls.
Duane - is your daughter 11 now or at the time of the cruise.
There are a few girls of similar ages .
Who pinched all the nice weather, see the great british weather just couldnt last.

What's going on this weekend with everyone?

There's a "Walk for Melanoma" that I signed up for on Saturday. Closet cleaning, a site inspection for the wedding reception, and I hope to catch up on my Golden Girls season 7. I've already finished 1-6.

Nothing too exciting.

Oh yeah, I might make a trip to Janesville to have dinner with Jen and her family. That chicken sounds great Jen.

robins leaving work early. picking up a cargo van rental, loading it up with the rest of cassie's stuff and heading down south for the weekend.
cant believe our baby is 21 next week.
i might have to see if i can get our Steve Nye the science guy to work on a time machine so we can go back in time a few years.(how about it steve?)

Well, I guess I better poke my head in and introduce another cast of characters that will be cruising with you all in Oct.

We are Duane (me), Claudine (DW), and Ashleigh (DD, 11) Miller.

We are from the Raleigh NC area. And are DIS nuts like the rest of you. We met Cheryl, Al, and Rachel two years ago on the October cruise. In fact I remember meeting Cass here at the DIS before they had to cancel that particular cruise. Cass, its good to meet you again!

We look forward to meeting you all, and getting to know you over the next several months that lead up to the sail date.

Yikes, I hope I didn't upset anyone with my question about bringing on alcolhol, when I cruised in 2005, you where allowed, people literally had a 24 tucked under there arms going through security. We only brought on a 12 pack of beer and 12 pack of pepsi...don't like coke DH just like to have a beer getting ready for dinner etc. Trust me the bar bill was still up there So just curious if we could still do it.

Andy, I hope your DD has fun at prom tonight....please post photos.

The kickboxing is new. I am training for a 1/2 marathon at the end of Sept and just usuing it to lose some much need weight..... It is a tough workout.

No, you certainly didn't offend anyone!!! I just meant that because of security concerns around the port, etc. the rules about bringing stuff onboard in checked luggage are a bit unclear. I think you can still bring on a soft-sided cooler with you....Maybe someone else can explain this better than me???
